but my real gripe is with thier quality control of thier shrimp. and use of companies with less than stellar sustainable fishing practices.

You call them shrimp, I call them bugs...
My generic body only needs covering, not decorating.

    Freedom is a bitch.

I'd rather not wear a seatbelt, and spend more money of old lightbulbs than be told at gunpoint, fine and imprisonment, I can't do such things. Statism vs. liberty. we see where you stand.

An even better deal is the LED light bulb which is $18 not the $60 you stated and last 50,000 hrs. However, this purchase requires long term thinking, a real obstacle for many Americans:

This situation is different from seatbelt laws in one major way. nobody is preventing the consumer form using 100 watt bulbs in this case, while seatbelt laws require the individual to wear it or run the risk of fines.

With these lightbulbs, the company is being regulated, not th epeople.

A person would still be free to make their own inefficient 100-watt bulbs and use them in their house if they desire to. No rights are being infringed in this case.

Nobody is kept from making their own choices.

If the government regulates those companies out of business, then the right of the people to chose is being directly effected.
