Jon Stewart reports on 9/11 first responders bill being blocked

December 16, 2010 - Mike Huckabee - The Daily Show With Jon Stewart - Full Episode Video | Comedy Central
(linked to the whole episode because the first two segments deal with it, and the early parts of the interview with Huckabee also discuss it)

Jon not only attacks the GOP for blocking the bill, but he hammers on the media for not reporting on it much at all.

It's sickening that this bill has been shoved around for so long as a political item.
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

It was good stuff. Worthy of a few threads.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

I'm just tired of explaining why the GOP blocked it in each thread, and having the liberal weenies run scared out of that thread, just to start another one about it.

You should pay more attention to the point then, as I addressed that a few mintues ago. We all acept that republicans would have some smi-valid objections, but that simply isn't why they stalled. They made clear nothing, including this, moved forward uintil the tax cuts were extended. No objections even argued. So, while you do belive you have a point, I don't think it holds any water.

No, that's not the way we do it around here and you know it.
"He who does not think himself worth saving from poverty and ignorance by his own efforts, will hardly be thought worth the efforts of anybody else." -- Frederick Douglass, Self-Made Men (1872)
"Fly-over" country voted, and The Donald is now POTUS.
