Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get bail

WikiLeaks' Julian Assange asked judge to keep his bail address secret | Mail Online

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange tried to hide his bail address from the public in an astonishing move for the man responsible for leaking thousands of diplomatic secrets.
Assange's lawyers argued that the location - a 10-bedroom stately home - should not be disclosed on grounds of privacy during yesterday's hearing at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Turnabout is fair play assface.

While I have a hard time disagreeing with the sentiment, I do to an extent see his point. If leaking to strike out of people we don't like is wrong, then leaking his address to get back at him is wrong. If it's legal to give it out and there is a reason to do so, then I have no problem with it, and his comments make me laugh, but doing what is right is sometimes hard, and I think that is what separates us from people like him.

I agree. I just wanted to call him assface again.

I agree. I just wanted to call him assface again.

That I can wholeheartedly agree with.

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

How ironic is that? What an asshole.

Does anybody know much about this assface's actual background..

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

It is ironic. I support his privacy as that is the right thing to do. But he's a damned hypocrite who doesn't "deserve" to have anything in his life kept private. Maybe he'll learn his lesson (although I doubt it).

He won't, because leaking his address has less meaning than leaking America's classified documents.. I wonder what his motive is. Does anybody know?

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

Assange has struck a blow against Obama's effectiveness. Hamstringing Obama should be rewarded with privacy for Assange.

I don't care who the president it. When you make my country the target.... well that makes you the enemy....

Obama strikes a blow against his own effectiveness...

Not true. Obama couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag.

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

Turnabout is fair play assface.

Well Assange is in the business - he knows that if someone wanted his address they could have easily found it anyway.
If it can be hacked, it will be hacked.

His 'request' is moot and he should understand that much about his own game.

He's in the cross-hairs of many a people who couldn't care less about right-and-wrong.

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

Last I knew Assaunge didn't post anyones personal info on his site. So how is asking the courts to not disclose his private residence hypocritical? Now if he has I would like to know about it. If he has then I will agree that he is being hypocritical. But as far as I know he hasn't.

Personally even if he is being hypocritical I find that releasing such information is rather stupid and puts his life in danger considering how many people want him dead. Of course I'm sure that most that are against him could care less.

Re: Don't leak my address: Astonishing plea from WikiLeaks boss as he tries to get ba

Turnabout is fair play assface.

Isn't this poetic?

He sees America as a threat, and many see him as a threat. Leak it all-day, everyday.

.

A man who leaks secrets has no business keeping any or requesting others to keep his secrets.

Not true. He posted the names of Afghans that cooperated with NATO forces and gave them information. This put the Afghanis and their families in grave danger.

true, and if one of them loses a family member it would be justice for one of them to make assface "go away"

Agreed. This is one case where I could support Shariah law.

nothing to do with that law

its the most basic law, someone in my family dies I have the right to waste the perpetrator

Question 1: Did he give direct addresses of those people?

Question 2: If no addresses was given then....Do you have any idea how many people are named "Muhammed" (or some spelling variation thereof) in Afghan? While I don't either I've noticed that name crop up more than any other when it comes to muslim names. Now while thier names may not have been "Muhammed" what is to say that thier names are not repeated as much as "Muhammed"? IE how many people have the same name? Or do you think that the terrorists will call out for a jihad against people of a particular name? They would probably have to end up killing some of their own if they did that though so....

Another word for that would be "semantics". Something which I recall you using on me a long time ago in a gay marriage thread. ;)
