In WW1 civilian casualties accounted for 10% of the total. WW2 took that number to 50%. Vietnam pushed the figure to 70%, and the casualty numbers for Iraq top out at 90% civilians. Even Saddam at his worst comes a distant second.

It's been a quiet many months for fat boy.

This gets him back on Larry King for the 109th time.

So the UK basically had him in jail for something that is not even a crime in their country. What next are they going to jail a woman because she didn't wear a burka in Saudi Arabia? As much as I want the man dead even I can see that these rape or sex offender charges are bull ****.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Let's forget about a trial, and just take him out behind the courthouse and shoot him.

I think not. So far as we know the socialist bath party under saddam is the greatest mass murderer of the 21st century.

    Number of Victims
According to The New York Times, "he [Saddam] murdered as many as a million of his people, many with poison gas. He tortured, maimed and imprisoned countless more. His unprovoked invasion of Iran is estimated to have left another million people dead. His seizure of Kuwait threw the Middle East into crisis. More insidious, arguably, was the psychological damage he inflicted on his own land. Hussein created a nation of informants friends on friends, circles within circles making an entire population complicit in his rule".[9] Others have estimated 800,000 deaths caused by Saddam not counting the Iran-Iraq war.[10] Estimates as to the number of Iraqis executed by Saddam's regime vary from 300-500,000[11] to over 600,000,[12] estimates as to the number of Kurds he massacred vary from 70,000 to 300,000,[13] and estimates as to the number killed in the put-down of the 1991 rebellion vary from 60,000[14] to 200,000.[12] Estimates for the number of dead in the Iran-Iraq war range upwards from 300,000.[15]

Saddam killed hundreds of thousands of people, a lot with the support of the United States. The Alliance ended in August of 1990, well after a lot of those crimes were committed. He fell out of favor because he invaded Kuwait.

Anyway, I take it danarhea was joking? Props to jamesrage. Why is this news? Moore can't post him bail because he was denied bail. I'm sure lots of people would want to bail him out.
