Bill Maher, a master of common sense, strikes again!

Glenn Beck like L. Ron Hubbard - Bill Maher’s appearance on Sunday’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” is getting a lot of attention online today. The host of “Real Time with Bill Maher” was asked how much he thinks the Tea Party is about religion. Maher focused on FOX News’ Glenn Beck, saying, “I think he’s doing what some people before him have done, like L. Ron Hubbard, who is a novelist, and decided, ‘You know what? It’s a much easier gig to be a religious leader.’ ”

Glenn Beck created the Tea Party? News to, well... everyone... including the people who really did create the Tea Party.

Where did you get that? He didnt say that.

lol...of course he was...

About Beck...
“I think he’s doing what some people before him have done, like L. Ron Hubbard, who is a novelist, and decided, ‘You know what? It’s a much easier gig to be a religious leader.’ ”
He directly compared Beck to Hubbard, who 'created' Scientology. Of course he was saying the same thing about Beck

The Tea Party movement and Glenn Beck both give each other strong support, yet anytime you criticize they try to create this distance.

NO! He didnt. He is talking about Beck being popular and changing what the Tea Party was to something of his own. He 100% did NOT say that Beck CREATED the Tea Party!

ok... we'll play your semantics games... HOW exactly is Glenn Beck the religious leader of the Tea Party 'religion', since that is what he was asked about...

asked how much he thinks the Tea Party is about religion

Keep in mind I think Beck is about as big a blowhard as Rush... I'm just curious to see where you go with this line.

Bill Maher may sound delusional, but he's actually very smart.

I think he’s doing what some people before him have done, like Joseph Stalin, who studied at an orthodox seminary, and decided, "You know what? It’s a much easier gig to be a Marxist revolutionary."

Since when is Glenn Beck tax exempt?
Also do you think glenn beck would get away with saying this?

When we elected a black president, I thought 2 yrs in I'd be able to say how Gangsta he was.Media Matters would be all over this, but since it comes from religion hating Bill Maher it's OK.

what is it with conservatives and thinking that you can't make any comparison without it being a complete parallel in every way.
