If Congress can agree on one thing, it's **** that doesn't matter but pisses everyone off. I got to say while this is silly they had a vote on such a thing, I'm glad commercials won't scare the **** out of me anymore.

In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Let's not overstate the consequences of the this good legislation.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

See, people are fine with BIG GOVERNMENT INTRUSION as long as it's dealing with something they personally don't like.

Not sure how this is "BIG GOVERNMENT INTRUSION," considering its an incredibly minor law that will have little impact on the day to day lives of the country.

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

frankly i'm just glad that they are focusing on the Really Important things, and making sure they knock those out of the way; and ignoring those trivialities like the tax rates or having an operating budget.

This is what Congress needs to spend it's time on, vice thinking that only the government can fix the economy.
