Liberals like all that government intrusion. I could care less about TV commercials being loud, I am not a cry baby.

It seems to me that this problem could of been fixed via "petitioning", after all... all the TV channels want to please their watchers.

The democratic party loves to do the EASY stuff and not the most important business at hand. typical bureaucratic and empty BS.

    Fix the ECONOMY, dummies!!!!

The government is capable of working on more than one thing at a time.

This was probably written by interns.

I thought that was what they all were?

In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

    Probably.

Also, why do so many bills have to have these shoehorned acronyms?

Because man I keep saying time and time again it is a bunch of assholes running the country.

I'm not fine with it. Call me paranoid, but the FCC will be enforcing this. The FCC had no power over TV content to my knowlege, (until now).
Remember laughing at Rockefeller for saying he would like the FCC to shut down Fox and MSNBC?

The FCC can do this though. Here is an scenerio for you which I'm sure a lot of you have come by. Your watching The Godfather on AMC, it is a very quiet movie then all of a sudden BAM SHAM-WOW OH MY GOD DID I JUST SCARE THE **** OUT OF YOU?!

It's the same as subliminal advertising from companies, it's banned for a reason because in many ways, it is unhealthy, decibel levels to a certain point can be as well, and this is a trick advertisers use to get your attention, that can even have implications on your electronics.

Much rather see them doing this than pork barrel production.

This should be an easy fix. TV programs are able to change without the volume jumping up and down from show to show so don't see it being a major hardship for advertisers.

This is a no-brainer and no need for the mass hysteria opposing it.

And yet, Republicans continue to insist that tax cuts = job growth = decrease in unemployment rate = increase in economic properity

Sounds to me like one side of the political spectrum believes government can fix just about anything...for the right price.
