I agree with Ron Paul. I don't ever agree with Ron Paul but even a broken clock like him is right twice a day.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

It's doing fine. It was doing fine when it had one party, it was fine when it had two parties. We are doing just fine.

I am not seeing dead bodies in the street, I'm not seeing civil war, I'm not seeing a massive disease killing us at an unprecedented rate....

Personally, even though times are tough, I think we are doing just fine from what the United States has gone through in the past. We will recover.

    .
Replace should not with can not....and you come closer to the reality of the situation...
Ordinary citizens of many countries will now see their government in a new light, but those countries where the media is tightly controlled will only be spoon fed certain portions of the leaks...
    Which are we?

freedom of the press is like the freedom to own guns. more than anything else it is to keep the govt. in check. that is why the govt. is against wikileaks imo.

this is an outstanding defense of wikileaks in congress by Ron Paul:

he makes some excellent points while also asking some questions which deserve to be answered

Why do we need this much government? If your neighbor's debt was like our national debt, you'd consider neighbor Joe to be a reckless idiot. Anyways... if we didn't participate in these embarrassing foreign policies to begin with, we would have nothing to be embarrassed about.

Re: Ron Paul Says We Need More Wikileaks

Ron Paul is the only Republican politician with a foreign policy that I largely agree with. He's also a man that, even though I disagree with on economic issues, I know means well.

This particular speech is the only one I've seen this year that I entirely agree with. Funny how we independently came up with most of same points in the earlier thread. Small world.

More than anyone else, I hope Ron Paul gets the Republican nomination, although it will never happen in a million years.
