Ron Paul Says We Need More Wikileaks

Paul has made a fairly critical error here, turning from arguing that since people should not trust their government, they should seek it harm in its' legitimate functions.

.
Replace should not with can not....and you come closer to the reality of the situation...
Ordinary citizens of many countries will now see their government in a new light, but those countries where the media is tightly controlled will only be spoon fed certain portions of the leaks...
Which are we?

freedom of the press is like the freedom to own guns. more than anything else it is to keep the govt. in check. that is why the govt. is against wikileaks imo.

this is an outstanding defense of wikileaks in congress by Ron Paul:

he makes some excellent points while also asking some questions which deserve to be answered

There is a portion of the libertarian agenda which seeks to damage the very institution of government as much as possible. Ron Paul is one of these folks and he knows well that this entire Wikileak scandal will only diminish the image of government in the eyes of some and possibly move a convert or two a bit closer to his religion.

Why do we need this much government? If your neighbor's debt was like our national debt, you'd consider neighbor Joe to be a reckless idiot. Anyways... if we didn't participate in these embarrassing foreign policies to begin with, we would have nothing to be embarrassed about.

Ron Paul is the only Republican politician with a foreign policy that I largely agree with. He's also a man that, even though I disagree with on economic issues, I know means well.

This particular speech is the only one I've seen this year that I entirely agree with. Funny how we independently came up with most of same points in the earlier thread. Small world.

More than anyone else, I hope Ron Paul gets the Republican nomination, although it will never happen in a million years.

:peace

See its sad that an idiot like Sarah P. could be a possible GOP nominie but someone legit like Ron Paul has no chance because he actually makes sense on alot of issues and goes against the grain of our government everyday.

it is an irresponsibility to claim that killing our friends is good for us because at least it embarrasses The Man.

I disagree. Ron Paul is not looking to harm government, but to prevent government from harming us.

That might be his intention, but not the effect.
