CBS News Poll: Most Oppose GOP Tax Plan

Please name for me one successful liberal social program or one successful liberal country in the world?

So food stamps do help not feed hungry people?
Medical care does not heal and treat the sick?

Name one conservative social program ever proposed.....

Allowing people to keep more of their own money allows them to take care of their own social needs. Returning the power to the states does the same thing. You seem to think that the role of the Federal govt. is to take on personal responsibility issues.

Nope, no state is perfect but TX economic results are better than any other big state in the nation. Too bad liberal arrogance won't allow for stealing some of TX ideas.

Many liberals are arrogant, that is true, but many conservatives are ignorant....given a choice, I will go with arrogant.
In fact, my granddaughter's brain surgeon is arrogant, according to his own staff. But he has cause to be, he is very good at what he does....

So that is your definition of success, high costs, high fraud, and bigger budgets?

High fraud, like on Wall Street? There might be half a dozen liberals on Wall Street, the rest are probably GOP Ponzi scheme operators...

There certainly is fraud in social programs, I propose we cut off all welfare, food stamps, medical care to the alledged poor, call it an experiment.
Then after a year when the truly poor and disadvantage have died, we will know that the survivors of this experiment are perpetrating fraud, and we can arrest them and put them into labor camps...operated by Glenn Beck...that'll teach them...

So that is your definition of success, high costs, high fraud, and bigger budgets?

Actually my definition of success for those programs would be feeding the hungry and treating the sick.

You are leaving out the ones who don't have jobs, thanks to greedy "entrepeneurs" who jimmied the real estate business...

But I agree that the states should have the power, and responsibility, to deal with these issues. The closer to home the criminals, the sooner law enforcement will be able to weed out and incarcerate the crooks. We will need more prisons, tho...

And as a form of cruel and unusual punishment, they should be forced to listen to ubercon pundits for 16 hours a day...

Sorry, their own income isn't sufficient....thanks to the income gap getting bigger and bigger and bigger....
but we shouldn't care, we gots ours, right?

Millions and millions are invested in Wall Street without any problems, yet you focus on the exception rather than the rule. That is what liberals always do and you support that kind of arrogance? You don't seem to get it, but food stamps, medical care, welfare are state and local issues, not a Federal issue. Why anyone would support these being handled by the bloated Federal Govt. is beyond me.

Could you please tell all of us how you managed to sleep through the terrible Wall Street disasters of this past decade?

You think it is the Federal Govt's role to tell Private business what to pay its employees? Stop thinking with your heart and start using your brain. There is only one thing preventing individuals from achieving success and that is the individual poor choices made. We have equal opportunity in this country NOT equal outcome. Amazing how 47% of income earners don't pay any Federal Income taxes yet liberals want to focus on Wall Street while ignoring that actual reality.

How did that terrible Wall Street disaster hurt you and your family? There are no guarantees in life except in the liberal utopian world yet for some reason when people get to that utopian world promised, they find debt, disaster, and abuses of taxpayer dollars. what is the liberal answer? Throw more money at the problem?

Regardless of the cost and as long as someone else pays for it? that is liberal logic and how liberals create dependence.

The market will take care of greedy entreprenuers but in your world there are no consequences for failure. If that individual invests their own money and chooses to be greedy they will fail. Where does personal responsibility rest in your world?

Actually, the American taxpayers took care of much of it..... the market failed miserably.

Did I miss the part where you presented damning information from an objective authoritative source about the cost?

Could you present it again please?

Millions? How naiive are you? It is TRILLIONS, and having access to even a very small percentage of those kinds of numbers is an invitation to fraud. But we could eliminate all the fraud and we would still be left with an uneven playing field. Insider trading is going on constantly. The small investors should abandon the stock market, and pay off their debts. That would reduce the amount of money available for the thieves in the market, and secure the financial future of the common folk....
And I already agreed about letting the states handle their own problems, without federally supported budgets.

FYI, it is usually the exception that we should focus on...that is where the damage is done...

Amazing how smart you are because obviously that didn't affect you. It didn't affect me either because I transferred my holdings into cash in 2008. I learned a long time ago personal responsibility. Seems that more and more don't understand that concept

agree, when we poor uninformed individuals make the choice to TRUST SOMEONE ELSE with our money, that is the first step towards failure.

I have no interesting in providing you with the benefits of you keeping more of your own money and the failures of liberal social spending startign with the Great Society. You believe it was a success? So tell me how many trillions have been spent to eradicate poverty? In 1965 there were 175 million Americans and a Federal Budget of 250 billion. Today there ar 308 million Americans and a budget of 3.6 trillion dollars. I can see how all that social spending has worked.
