Then he tries to claim credit for a bill that was successful which he opposed.

    .

So let me get this straight. A politician never changes his mind on an issue and therefore never signs this bill which you support, therefore he gains no respect with you. OR a politician for whatever reason, signs this bill and then takes credit for its successes, however since he at one point came out against it he's now just playing politics. Is there anyway for someone to 'win' with you?

Perhaps he changed his mind, or perhaps he did it for political reasons. Point is, in your view he did a good thing but his reasons were wrong. Give him credit for what he did, even if you think he did it for the wrong reasons in your view.

Of course doing that would require your removal from a binary thought process.

Oh my the nahsayers that detest Obama are out in full force pushing polls and that are only snap shots in time. Never mind the last eight presidents have had lower ratings at some point in their terms, and some have come back to win a decisive victory in their second terms. Smacks of desperation to me.

I'm still waiting for someone other than has beens or morons to put their hat in the ring for 2012 on the republican side. It sure isn't Gingerich, Palin, or the guy from my state that won't make it past the gate once the media starts digging in his claims to fame. My man Mitch ain't what he's made out to be. He's caused a lot of misery in my state of Indiana and has sold out to big business and ditched our education system.

    Ahhh ... not so Wiseone.
Just the fact he was adamant about not signing this bill. He signed it to get re-elected, and then attempts to take credit like it was his idea years later. Typical Clinton. No class, lying SOB.

The larger point, and relevant to the OP... is Obama is an ideologue and won't triangulate... which is fine with me. I wish Bush didn't try to get along... look where it got him; kicked in the teeth.

Perhaps he changed his mind, or perhaps he did it for political reasons. Point is, in your view he did a good thing but his reasons were wrong. Give him credit for what he did, even if you think he did it for the wrong reasons in your view.
Fine, but don't act like it was your idea, hoping to pull one over on the public. A little class would be nice, but that's too much to expect from ex-Democrat presidents. They're mouth pieces inserting themselves into the political process, lying about their records, throwing sand in the gears while they had their go and farked it up. No class SOB's, and reflective of the party in general.

What was that about thought process?

Only one Dem won re-election. Clinton... and he had Dick Morris run a couple brilliant strategies after 1994:

    1. The stealth southern strategy of running ads under the radar after the midterms and into the 96 election... that's why they needed all those coffees and money from the Riady clan.

    2. Triangulation. Poll and pick what he could to get along with the right.

Obama isn't Clinton. Clinton was a surviver; Obama's an ideologue who thinks he's got a gift. He even said it to the Dem leadership when discussing ObamaKare... stating the difference is you have me... ROTFLOL... they sure do. He necklaced the Democrat party.

I agree that Obama isn't Clinton. But Palin is FAR more removed from Reagan than Obama is from Clinton.
