Socialistic ideals are connected to the progressive socialistic ideals of Britain's forcing troops to play gay. No, of course no events are ever related to each other; there's no general mindsets that devise events started from the same thinkers. Likewise, liberal progressives are what connect the issue of abortion to the issue of euthanasia; no, it is the religious right that does. Events are related; you just need to see the strings. I suppose the religious right, the fight against abortion, and the fight against illegal immigration have absolutely no connection whatsoever? Perhaps my view of "connection" is different from your view of it.

Socialist ideas have nothing to do with LGBT rights. Plain, and simple. One is economic, and one is social. Socialism has nothing to do with social issues.

Progressive socialists support both issues. That's the connection. Socialism seeks to mold society through social engineering. Why do you think the government has such influence with society in such socialistic nations? I hate it when I feel like I'm being BS'd.

I've never met a homosexual in the service (from my personal experience) and I don't mind if they want to serve our country, that's everybody's right.. just leave my junk alone. :mrgreen:

I knew 2 gay guys when I served who where serving. They did not threaten any ones junk. Even if DADT is repealed, they will still not be able to threaten your junk.

(and the leaders of the military support repeal)....so then its "let the men and women of the military decide"..... (and they vote in favor of repeal by an overwhelming majority.....so now its THEY ASKED THE WRONG QUESTION.....ROTFLMAO......Navy you are too much.

Well, technically every economic system engages in social engineering via its policies. While they may not be intended to be social engineering, the outcomes are still dependent upon the policies.

If you think our servicemembers couldn't figure out the questions anyway, and give their honest opinions, you must not have a lot of respect for their intelligence or integrity. This is grasping at less than straws.

2. I support gays now in most cases just not serving openly in the military and gat marriage..........

Only in your mind does the greater part of the people support it..............The question that needs to be asked is. Do you support the repeal of DADT? Not the other mickey mouse junk

I don't know, I just know in my 21 years in the Navy I saw many gays discharged for making unwanted advances against straight sailors........You can't bury your head in the sand and say it does not happen.............

Betcha there were straights discharged for making unwanted advances towards those of the opposite sex, too. Thing is, NP, this is a behavor that is about the individual, not the group. It's like guns. Should we ban guns because a few idiots use them illegally? No, we ban the illegal behavior. Do all people who use guns use them illegally? No, just the idiots. Just like unwanted advances are banned in the military. It's the behavior that a few idiots do that gets them banned. It's not their sexual orienation.

So I was right. You don't think our servicemembers can give their honest opinion because the questions "acted like DADT repeal was a done deal." I, on the other hand, think they're smart enough to understand the situation.

You support gays, just not them having the same rights as you. You think a straight soldier should be able to mention that he had sex last weekend to his buddies in the barracks, but a gay soldier should be discharged for doing the same thing.
