Great Michael Moore advice to Obama

SInce that video is just a snapshot, does Moore actually say something worthwile- you know, detail as to what Obama should do, instead of spouting nonsense that doesn't actually mean anything?

Quite to the contrary. He got a big audience reaction. I think he voices an opinion that is shared by many Obama supporters who want a tougher and far more aggressive president. The health care situation and the current tax cuts situation is the perfect illustration.

That was such a great episode. Practically everything that came out of Michael Moore's mouth was either wrong or just plain stupid. The CNN political correspondent tried to bring in some common sense, but eventually just sat there and shook her head.

I'm sure he does. The problem is that you're not going to win an election by targeting such a small segment of voters.

I really wish Obama would take Moore's advice. It would set Socialists and Communist Progressive back 30 years. I now have a new addition to my prayers. Thank you Michael Moore.

Maher actually said that he wished Obama could be more like Bush... not with respect to any policies or ideas of course, but with respect to his decisive, in-your-face, "this is what I believe, too bad if you don't like it" quality... "You actually authorized waterboarding?" "Damn straight I did!"

Because Bush was ridiculed for his "cowboy persona" -- people intitally treated Obama's tendency to waffle and equivocate as refreshing. At the time, they reasoned that Bush could only see black and white, but "brilliant" Obama concerned himself with all those complexities of gray.

They're not so enamoured by that anymore.

LOL - at one point he suggested we could balance the budget by offsetting any of the proposed cuts to social programs with an increase in the corporate income tax. That's how uninformed he is.

Later, he suggested Obama (having shed his pink tutu) - be more like FDR, giggling about how he seized control of Montgomery Ward during WWII and sent in the National Guard to carry its Chairman Sewell Avery away. Moore was practically drooling... "Can you imagine if we did that to Exxon?"

Listening to Moore is like listening to a crazy Liberal in the nut house. Lols.

Obama should hire Moore as his advisor in order to please his supporters, don't you think??? Lols.

Here's another of Michael Moore's pearls of wisdom from last Friday, America doesn't like having a black President:

"America does not like having a black President, that's the sad truth."

"The statistics don't lie, I'm not talking about polls, I'm talking about that the young people in '08 wast he only white demographic that Obama won. Every other demographic over 29, Obama lost the white vote. Every single one."
Hey Dumbass, guess what!?

Democrats ALWAYS lose the white vote! They haven't won it in almost 50 years. Obama is only following in the footsteps of the 10 Democratic candidates before him (many of which received an even lower proportion of the white vote than he did).

The truth of the matter is... America hasn't been particularly fond of Democratic presidents in general. If we look at the period between Johnson and Obama, Repulican presidents presided 70% of the time. There were only two Democratic presidents, and only Jimmy Carter got there with a majority of the popular vote, squeaking by with 50.1%. And again... looking at the two Democrats, voters strongly rejected both Carter and Clinton -- that is, until Clinton made that mad dive to the center after his midterm drubbing.

That takes us back to the pink tutu. As I see it, he can either become even more of an ideologue and go the way of Carter, or continue making concessions and become more of a pragmatist - and hope to go the way of Clinton.

Agreed. He should fight for his version of healthcare and for the tax cuts to the top to expire. Those are two things not only Moore would apllaud, but a lot of Obama supporters would stand up for.

the truth?!?! Here is some truth for you. In four of the last five presidential elections the American people have preferred the Democratic candidate over the Republican candidate in a count of their votes. This is not morning in America anymore.

How is the present democratic president working out for you????

too soon to tell...

According to you guys, it's working fantastically because Obama is a socialist marxist kenyan muslim who is destroying this country, and you guys keep saying that's exactly what I want.

Please forgive them for they don't know any better. They are still in love with this idiot and he can't do no wrong.

You, along with your liberal brethern make absolutely zero sense?

The basic, time tested and proven economic principle in supply and demand transactional economics is this. When you want to sell more of something, you put it on sale.

Done, and you can thank me when the idiots in Washington actaully start getting this.

What? I'm just going by what you guys say all the time. Liberals love socialism, think the government should tax breathing because there's CO2 in it, and want government-run food sales to make sure we don't eat too much sugar. And that's exactly what Obama is doing! Hooray!!!

Or maybe the reality is that Obama is a moderate at best, regulation is not socialism, we don't think Obama is the Messiah, and the taxing CO2 from breathing thing is just too stupid to even address. You pick.

Here's a hint: Conservatives crow all the time about Obama's tanking approval ratings, how the voters are rejecting the Democrats, and how Obama is losing support all the time. Then you turn around and say he's the Messiah who liberals would never betray. It can't be both things.

... you should take some more economics classes. Taxes aren't a product that you can sell more of by lowering the price.

Really? So Black Friday making up literally 75% of most retail profit for the year in a single day, is an apparition? :)

Hehe... And you call me lacking in economics. :)

By the way, that's the first time, I think ever, someone has told me I need to take some more economics classes. [wink]
