A working class hero is something to be
I am no fan of George Soros, but his comments were far from over the line. At the very least one can appreciate the honesty and ultimately what he said is not nearly as bad as how Beck portrays. Still, I can understand why Beck would find such a comment horrendous.
The only person who really loses out on this in my opinion is Foxman. Aside from being a total hypocrite himself he completely took Beck's comments out of context and made it sound like he was saying something he was not saying.
"For what is Evil but Good-tortured by its own hunger and thirst?"
- Khalil Gibran
Everything Glenn said was based 100% on Soros's own words. I saw and hear Soros talk about how enjoyed watching the NAZIs during the war.
Soros in his own words hung him self out as a Globalist, Anti-American SOB and he talks about how much fun it was to destroy economies.
By the way millions of people suffered because of this.
The Liberals are LIARS in the 1rst degree and have to make up shtuff because people Like Glenn Beck use facts to lay waste to people like Soros and Obama. Truth is most of the time he just shows videos and audio clips of them, and they sink their own boats.
What I like about these attacks is that they raise Glenns ratings, Liberals never learn. Before i retired a report in a Radio Trade Magazine said that nearly 40% of Rush Limbaugh's ratings were do to Liberals wanting to know what he'd say next.
Funny thing is when a local Paper that covered parts of three States attacked a certain retired talk show host who went from off the map to beating everyone in the time slot. So he did much more of what pissed them off until the editor was fired for making that show bigger than Rush & Beck. By the way that show also caused a huge change in local governments in two of the tree states.
So please keep it up, and add to it because you have nothing substantial to attack on it's easy to counter, with the truth.
Glenn Beck draws criticism over latest Holocaust comments | The Upshot Yahoo! News
Beck, take a cue from the rest of us, pissing off Jewish people in the media is not a good business move. Specially if they see you as nothing more than a revisionist. It's going to be fun watching this conspiracy theorizing bitch go down in flames.Glenn Beck has railed many times against George Soros, a Hungarian-American financier and liberal philanthropist whom the conservative host dubs the "progressive puppet master."
But Beck ramped up his criticism this week on Fox News and his radio show, making comments about how Soros survived in Nazi-occupied Hungary that have provoked denunciations from Jewish organizations.
Beck said on the radio Wednesday that Soros—as a 13-year-old Jewish boy, living apart from his parents in order to avoid apprehension by the Nazis—"used to go around with this anti-Semite and deliver papers to the Jews and confiscate their property and then ship them off. … It was frightening. Here's a Jewish boy helping send the Jews to the death camps."
Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League and a Holocaust survivor, called Beck's comments "completely inappropriate, offensive and over the top." [See update]

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK
What won't Beck get criticism over? And while you certainly cherry pick the bad parts, the one bit that makes the criticism seem silly is this part:
It probably was frightening. And he was a Jewish boy posing as someone else while property was confiscated. So what's the problem again? Is it that it actually happened, or that Beck just said it out loud?Soros has spoken publicly about how he escaped the death camps by posing as a member of a Christian family. The teenager did accompany his protector, whose job was to confiscate property from Jews in Nazi-occupied Hungary.
Steve Kroft, in a 1998 "60 Minutes" interview, told Soros that it sounded like "an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years." But Soros said that he doesn't feel guilty for what happened because "whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator; the property was being taken away."
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
This is already being discussed in News 2.0.
As to Beck, I refuse to watch him. Adamantly refuse. I am saddened that I can even recognize him, or the sound of his voice. I prefer the one step removed, "by his fruits". I watch his disciples, or followers, or fans; whatever they wish to call themselves. I don't perceive them as conservatives or Republicans, I perceive them as fanbois. They don't cast a very kind light on Mr. Beck. There is nothing that can be said in his support or defense, AS HE STANDS, that would make me elevate my opinion of him. Now, if he stopped trying to manipulate people and words for ratings, aka $$, I could slowly change my mind. It wouldn't be instant, as he has spent a fair amount of time Behaving Badly. But I do know people can change.
Just in case anyone is interested, here was the First time Glenn Beck mentioned the Childhood of George Soros on his Fox show. It's at the 5:32 mark in the following video from last Tuesday, the 9th... Then again at the 8:40 mark... Does this sound anti-Semitic to anyone?
On the 10th, Beck said nothing about Soros's childhood at all on his Fox show, as was claimed in the op.
On the 11th, Beck mentioned his childhood once again. It's at the 4:00 mark in the following video, and what he says is backed up by Soros's own words.
You want to know more about Soros based on his own words? Then watch this clip starting at the 5:20 mark.
