Bachmann Outraged Over Made Up Cost Of Obama's India Trip (VIDEO)

What financial meltdown, Obama says he saved us from that total destruction. One would think that after spending 800+ billion to stimulate economic growth and job creation that employment would be higher each month of 2010 than 2009 during that crisis.
Maybe you would think that way, but again you have ODS. BTW, roughtly 1/3 of the stimulus was tax cuts for the middle class. I thought you liked tax cuts.

Then you have a reading comprehension problem, my argument is why spend any money on a trip at this time, two days after the American people said stop the spending and he again basically told the American people to "shove it" as "Iam going to do whatever I want"
.

I bet these guys are pretty happy with Obama's trip to the second most populated nation in the world:

INTERNATIONAL) -- It was good news for the Boeing Company and it’s employees this week in India.

President Barack Obama, on his 3-day trip to India, announced a series of commercial deals Friday including the purchase of 33 Boeing 737 jetliners by India's SpiceJet Airlines.

It is a deal worth potentially $2.7 Billion which is part of $10 Billion in pacts being sealed during Obama’s visit to India.

Obama also announced a preliminary agreement between Boeing and the Indian Air Force to buy 10 Boeing C17 cargo jets.

"The order of 30 aircraft, the second of such order by SpiceJet, will enhance it's penetration in India's low cost market," said Bhulo Kansagra, Director and one of the promoters of SpiceJet at the US India Business Council meeting.

Boeing India President Dinesh Keskar said the deal was signed in late October after it received government approvals.

The agreements are expected to create 50,000 jobs in the US. The Gurgaon-based airline had said in July that it would order 30 Boeing 737-800 aircraft to expand its fleet and deliveries will begin by 2014.

Then name for me any other President in U.S. History that lost jobs every month a year after a recession ended?
It doesn't matter, recessions are tied to GDP, not employment.

So you still can't prove it?

These trips are planned years in advance... they're part of the way a country works. You have to go meet your allies. Or do you not want the second largest growing economy on your side? That would be a major mistake I'll tell you. India can be a very good ally, it is the worlds largest democracy.

So. Still think the lie is true, even though NO PRESIDENTIAL TRIP HAS EVER COST THIS MUCH.

But yet, you know, because you know.

Was this the part that honor was restored?

My comments went right over your head. How much is the trip costing? Because a trip was planned in advance doesn't mean it couldn't be cancelled, happens all the times except with this President. The Festival of Lights couldn't be cancelled and King Obama needed to see them. The hell with the American people and the high deficits and unemployment! This Administration offered Transparency during the campaign, where is that tranparency? You are quick to continue to buy the rhetoric when the fact is you have no idea how much the trip costs and really don't care. That is typical liberalism

LOL, you are right economic growth has no impact on job creation. I cannot believe you just posted that. Do you realize how out of touch you are with reality?

Let me know when you get your pictures of the "Fesival of Lights?" You actually believe that Obama negotiated that sale in the two days he was in India? You really are grasping for straws. There was no reason for him to go to India and take the contingent with him as that agreement was negotiated months ago.

I'm sure it helped that we are paying attention to India considering our relationship with Pakistan whom India happens to be in conflict with and is our needed ally in the war on terror.

I posted the actual Obama tax cuts which of course you ignored, compare them to Bush's and let me know which one really affected the American taxpayer? All those strings attached and liberals again trying to pick and choose winners. It is obvious which one benefited the economy and which one didn't.

Obama Tax cuts

Total: $288 billion

[edit] Tax cuts for individuals

Total: $237 billion

• $116 billion: New payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010. Phaseout begins at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers.[29]
• $70 billion: Alternative minimum tax: a one year increase in AMT floor to $70,950 for joint filers for 2009.[29]
• $15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
• $14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
• $6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[41]
• $4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
• $4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit — which provides money to low income workers — for families with at least three children.
• $4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
• $1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.

Bush Tax cuts

Between 2001 and 2003, the Bush administration instituted a federal tax cut for all taxpayers. Among other changes, the lowest income tax rate was lowered from 15% to 10%, the 27% rate went to 25%, the 30% rate went to 28%, the 35% rate went to 33%, and the top marginal tax rate went from 39.6% to 35%.[3] In addition, the child tax credit went from $500 to $1000, and the "marriage penalty" was reduced. Since the cuts were implemented as part of the annual congressional budget resolution, which protected the bill from filibusters, numerous amendments, and more than 20 hours of debate, it had to include a sunset clause. Unless congress passes legislation making the tax cuts permanent, they will expire in 2011.

I'm sure it helped that we are paying attention to India considering our relationship with Pakistan whom India happens to be in conflict with and is our needed ally in the war on terror.

No question about it, bet Pakistan was ecstatic

No, Bush wasn't, Obama took office in January 2009, Bush couldn't have created a trillion dollar deficit from November 1, 2008 to January 21, 2009.

So at what point is a deficit big enough to complain about? I suspect the answer is when it can be blamed on democrats. Bush took a near surplus and turned it into a major deficit, but his spending on trips was OK.

How exactly did Bush do that, paying for 9/11? Are you ever going to answer the direct question, how did Bush create a 1.3 trillion dollar from Oct. 1, 2008 to January 21, 2009? Obama claimed he inherited that deficit so as a supporter I am sure you can explain it because no one will ask Obama. Then of course Bush created the 2010 deficit of 1.29 trillion too, didn't he?

So Bush's big spending while we were running a deficit is OK to you? Answer the question, when is there too much deficit for presidents to go on trips? Why do you avoid the question?

I am sure you took a civics class and understand that no President can spend a dime without Congressional Approval. Suggest you check out the deficits by Congress. As I posted yesterday over 5 trillion dollars was spent by Democrat Congress and 2 trillion spent when the Republicans had control yet you have no problem blaming Bush. Better get the Democrat house in order first before blaming Republicans. The voters spoke on Tuesday and said stop spending. Seems that 682 GOP Legislators elected on Tuesday, take over of the House, 6 new GOP Senators indicates that the voters don't blame Bush for the deficits.

You still avoid the question and respond with things totally unrelated to the questions. Why are you so afraid of the questions?

LOL, reliving the past does nothing to solve the problems of the present especially when "your" President put all that Bush "spending" that you are so concerned about on steroids. Why are you igoring the present results and diverting to the past while distorting the past?

I am pointing out the hypocrisy of bitching about one but not the other. I at least am consistent. Presidents make trips. They are expensive. I accept that. I did not throw a fit when Bush did it, or Clinton, or Bush the elder, or Reagan. You however, think it's ok when it's your guy, but not when it is some one you don't like. That is a lack of consistency.

What trips did Bush take with 16 million unemployed Americans, trillion dollar deficits, and a shellacking at the polls? Obama doesn't get it as apparently he isn't smart enough to understand the entitlement mentality he seems to have.

And you are again evading the question. You set up a set of goals to allow a trip, specifically designed to make it appear to be consistent, then throw in a couple mindless attacks to go along with it.

using the figures from your post, what exactly was wrong with the obama tax cuts? picking winners and losers my arse....homebuyer credit=good thing...credit for college tuition=good thing....home energy credit+deduction of sales tax credit for new car purchase=good thing...what is wrong with this?

And you are again evading the question. You set up a set of goals to allow a trip, specifically designed to make it appear to be consistent, then throw in a couple mindless attacks to go along with it.

I understand why you want to divert from the spending of Obama

Selective tax cuts that aren't really tax cuts, you have do something in order for the liberals to allow you to benefit. Home buyer credit is a reduction of the cost of that loan so how is that a tax cut? Credits for college tuition is a reduction in the cost of going to college thus not a tax cut, home energy credit is a cost savings for spending money to upgrade your home insulation, sales tax reduction? Since sales taxes are state revenue issues tax deductions reduce the price of the car and aren't tax reductions. You don't seem to really understand what a tax reduction is.
