President Barack Obama, on his 3-day trip to India, announced a series of commercial deals Friday including the purchase of 33 Boeing 737 jetliners by India's SpiceJet Airlines.

It is a deal worth potentially $2.7 Billion which is part of $10 Billion in pacts being sealed during Obama’s visit to India.

Obama also announced a preliminary agreement between Boeing and the Indian Air Force to buy 10 Boeing C17 cargo jets.

"The order of 30 aircraft, the second of such order by SpiceJet, will enhance it's penetration in India's low cost market," said Bhulo Kansagra, Director and one of the promoters of SpiceJet at the US India Business Council meeting.

Boeing India President Dinesh Keskar said the deal was signed in late October after it received government approvals.

The agreements are expected to create 50,000 jobs in the US. The Gurgaon-based airline had said in July that it would order 30 Boeing 737-800 aircraft to expand its fleet and deliveries will begin by 2014.

Let me know when you get your pictures of the "Fesival of Lights?" You actually believe that Obama negotiated that sale in the two days he was in India? You really are grasping for straws. There was no reason for him to go to India and take the contingent with him as that agreement was negotiated months ago.

I'm sure it helped that we are paying attention to India considering our relationship with Pakistan whom India happens to be in conflict with and is our needed ally in the war on terror.

I posted the actual Obama tax cuts which of course you ignored, compare them to Bush's and let me know which one really affected the American taxpayer? All those strings attached and liberals again trying to pick and choose winners. It is obvious which one benefited the economy and which one didn't.

    Obama Tax cuts

    Total: $288 billion

    [edit] Tax cuts for individuals

    Total: $237 billion

$116 billion: New payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010. Phaseout begins at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers.[29]
$70 billion: Alternative minimum tax: a one year increase in AMT floor to $70,950 for joint filers for 2009.[29]
$15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
$14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
$6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[41]
$4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
$4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit which provides money to low income workers for families with at least three children.
$4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
$1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.

    Bush Tax cuts

Between 2001 and 2003, the Bush administration instituted a federal tax cut for all taxpayers. Among other changes, the lowest income tax rate was lowered from 15% to 10%, the 27% rate went to 25%, the 30% rate went to 28%, the 35% rate went to 33%, and the top marginal tax rate went from 39.6% to 35%.[3] In addition, the child tax credit went from $500 to $1000, and the "marriage penalty" was reduced. Since the cuts were implemented as part of the annual congressional budget resolution, which protected the bill from filibusters, numerous amendments, and more than 20 hours of debate, it had to include a sunset clause. Unless congress passes legislation making the tax cuts permanent, they will expire in 2011.

So at what point is a deficit big enough to complain about? I suspect the answer is when it can be blamed on democrats. Bush took a near surplus and turned it into a major deficit, but his spending on trips was OK.

How exactly did Bush do that, paying for 9/11? Are you ever going to answer the direct question, how did Bush create a 1.3 trillion dollar from Oct. 1, 2008 to January 21, 2009? Obama claimed he inherited that deficit so as a supporter I am sure you can explain it because no one will ask Obama. Then of course Bush created the 2010 deficit of 1.29 trillion too, didn't he?

So Bush's big spending while we were running a deficit is OK to you? Answer the question, when is there too much deficit for presidents to go on trips? Why do you avoid the question?

I am sure you took a civics class and understand that no President can spend a dime without Congressional Approval. Suggest you check out the deficits by Congress. As I posted yesterday over 5 trillion dollars was spent by Democrat Congress and 2 trillion spent when the Republicans had control yet you have no problem blaming Bush. Better get the Democrat house in order first before blaming Republicans. The voters spoke on Tuesday and said stop spending. Seems that 682 GOP Legislators elected on Tuesday, take over of the House, 6 new GOP Senators indicates that the voters don't blame Bush for the deficits.

You still avoid the question and respond with things totally unrelated to the questions. Why are you so afraid of the questions?

LOL, reliving the past does nothing to solve the problems of the present especially when "your" President put all that Bush "spending" that you are so concerned about on steroids. Why are you igoring the present results and diverting to the past while distorting the past?
