The whole event mostly sucked. Music was good except for Jon Stewart. There wasn't much comedy except for the "sincere" crap.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Espeically the opening music and the Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow song. And the sincere message was a good one.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

No, and it wasn't Bush's fault either. We don't elect a King we have a Representative form of govt. and all our Representatives failed us.

The economic results are as I posted them. Noticed that you either ignored them or know what they show and refuse to admit you have been duped.

The problems in this country didn't take 8 years to created, they took about a year and that year was under the control of the Democrats in Congress. The results today aren't much better as the numbers also show. What economic prediction did Obama make that has been accurate? Stop buying the rhetoric and look at the results.

To both sides, why is this stuff in this thread?

It has nothing to do with the topic of the OP.

Restore Sanity. Stop the Rhetoric. Stop the divisions, remember that the vast majority of people don't think along such dogmatic lines.

The rally wasnt fabulous in itself. It was really the showing up for a good cause, hearing a couple tunes and a few fun jokes and great signs and being with like minded people, as in, not right wing extremists. People seemed to hold back from having politically charged liberal signs. It was really civil.

Absolutely correct, my error in responding to posters who put that subject on this thread. My apology. I will not respond to off topic posts on this thread

I am as a well, I don't support amendments that restrict the people, that's not what the constitution is about. I think he may have felt the same way, why else would he go such a no win route?

From what I saw I am concerned that many of these people at that rally actually are voters. Notice the signs about Keynesian=Obama and these people were talking about his birthplace and not economics? There were many signs there that told me all I needed to know about the attendees and I posted many of them on this thread. Just goes to show how out of touch and radical some of those attendees actually are. One guy says "What is wrong with Communism?" Oh, I don't know, hundreds of millions killed by Communists must be ok.
