Read my reply to MR Invisible in relation to this statement of Julietsm's which is correct if you are a true Christian.

It is absolutely not correct if you are a Christian. And considering you have been in this forum not even what a week? I my friend have little to prove as far as me being a Christian goes.

True Christianity is not about religion, it is about a personal relationship with Christ. Sitting around and judging who is and is not a Christian is a dead end for spiritual salvation.

Edit: Those who follow Islam will be judged by the same God. It will be for him to decide who is worthy, not us.

If we are to accept that this is indeed true and that Mohammed wanted truly to abolish all moon worship at the Kaa'ba then why were these pagan rituals and clear idolatory still allowed in Mohammeds time & still practiced even today that were clearly influenced by Hubal (aka Sin) the moon god?
You mean like Christians who celebrate pagan holidays etc? Give me a break. Most religions have some roots in paganism for one reason or another. I mean really man, the roots of religion are pagan, period.

So as a Christian you deny it when Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also." John 14:6-7 & say that he is wrong here? This statement seems pretty straight forward & not hard to grasp at all. Unless you are a follower of Christ then there will be no access to the father. There is no mention by Jesus anywhere in the bible that any non believers in him will gain access into heaven. So how do you square this contradiction if you chose to deny what Christ explicetely tells us here?

BTW: In what way does my being new to the forum have anything to do with this discussion? I too have little to prove as a Christian, yet denying clearly what Jesus tells us from the New Testament is clearly something that no Christian should do in relation to their faith? After all, if that were the case we could just cherry pick the parts we liked & dismiss the parts we don't in the Bible. Is that what Jesus tells us to do? Just obey the parts you like & ignore the others you don't? We have to remember that Jesus also tells us in Matthew 7:13-14; "Go in through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is spacious that leads to destruction, and many people are entering by it. How narrow is the gate and how constricted is the road that leads to life, and few are the people who find it!" We have to remember that this statement also includes people too who preached & cast demons out in his name too (i.e. some fellow Christians too).

So it is clear just from these very two statements by Jesus that no one gets into heaven unless you believe in him first, and that includes some who also call themselves Christians too. This really is Christianity 101 here.

Your time has much to do with what you said to me. You are going to assume that because of 1 ro 2 posts I am not a Christian by reading things into what I said I did not.

Then you continue with some nonsense about you have nothing to prove when I never questioned you being a Christian etc.

You assume far to much while knowing very little about those you respond to.

Again this has nothing to do with anything I said. I also suggest you go into the "Religion and Philosophy" forum and do a little checking before you make wildly inaccurate assumptions.

Edit here let me help you...

Jesus never instigated easter, nor did he demand that we celebrate his birthday. These things were added into Christianity in the centuries after Christs death by later Popes & councils etc. Yet here we have Mohammed beggining his brand new monotheistic religion straight from the words of Allah (via the angel Gabriel). So don't you think that one of the very first things that God would instruct Mohammed to do would be to ban and get rid of ALL earlier pagan worship & any leftover pagan idols from before this time? If you read the Bible Yahweh tells the Israelites clearly to destroy all idols & asherah poles etc, when entering their new land (which they fail to do).

As an atheist or an agnostic you may wish to debate that all religions are pagan in origin. Yet from a theistic point of view the very fact that the prophet that starts this new religion of Islam does not demand that the earlier pagan rituals & idols that were worshipped BEFORE Islam began should have been removed & stopped at the Kaa'ba, yet instead allows them to continue unchecked I think speaks clearer than anything that Mohammed wanted & encouraged these pagan practises to continue.

None of this changes the fact that...

Some Old Testament rights and dare I say writings are based on much older pagan ideals and rituals. Jesus himself preformed a similar ritual in the bread and wine to body and blood.

If you like I can post literally thousands of sources that will show the exact links from pagan to Christian ritualism. I think you already know this though.

I suppose that highlighted part was meant for someone else as well?

    I am done with you.

Have a good one and God bless.

Lol! If that is the case, and you call yourself a Christian, how in fact can you do so when all the evidence according to you points to the fact that it is all pagan in origin? Personally I would stick to calling oneself an agnostic above anything else here! Lol!

    God bless you too

The subject if the thread is the dangers of Muslim inbreeding, not Christian history.
