Where children and public display of sexual behaviour is involved, the laws of common decency would be enough, never mind what I say.

And it's interesting how the nub of the issue, again as outlined, has been studiously avoided by the Liberals.

The reiterated point being that if gays are just like everyone else, why segregate them and treat them as some protected species?

But that's exactly what you're doing. Time and again those who speak out against the sin of homosexuality are harranged by people like you, as you are doing right now. We don't hate them. We will impose our views through legal political means, just as you have been doing. You probably think your view is the only view; understandable, yes, but there are others that will continue fighting back legally.

An interesting observation, coming off the back of this, is that the only time it's admitted that Islam is homophobic is when they want to compare me to something bad.

Usually, Islam is portrayed as a sunshine-and-smiles kind of religion. You know, the kind of religion you could NEVER associate with a bomber or one of our scores of radical mosques.

Actually this topic is about Gays serving in the American military, a hot topic in the country for all the wrong reasons.

The inability of gays to serve in the military, and get married directly stems from attitudes derived from old Christian Teachings.

Screw the economy, national security, because expressing your gayness in uniform is the defining issue of the millenium. Again....you fail to grasp the concept. People who disagree with me are not necessarily homophobes and/or bigots. It is when they believe that they have the right to dictate how other people live their lives that they become homophobes and bigots.
Everyone has the right to their opinions. What they don't have a right to is imposing their opinion onto another person's private life.

Once again.....wrong. People have every right to speak out about the "sin of homosexuality" if they choose to do so. But when they start to try to force that view into laws or vigilanteeism that is where their right ends.

You're the one who thinks gays should be segregated. We think they should be treated like everyone else.

Straight people: Can marry the person they love, get tax benefits, hospital visitation rights, automatic inheritance in the event of death of the spouse, automatic custody of children, all through one simple marriage certificate.

Gays: Can't marry the person they love in most states, and can't get some of the rest of the benefits. The ones they can get require lawyers and signed paperwork, and even then it doesn't always work.

Straight people: Can serve in the military and mention out loud that they had sex with their significant other and not be discharged for it.

Gays: Have to hide who they are and who they love.

The liberal solution? Let gays have the exact same marriage rights as straight people and be treated just like any other member of the military.

We don't NEED 5 year olds to be taught about homosexuals (alienating the priceless Muslims into the bargain). We don't NEED special gay parades and mind control. We don't NEED awful bloody boring switchboards and condoms handed out. We don't NEED National Health Service leaflets advising gay men on the best places to have outdoor sex in London. Etc.
