Poor homophobes, so sad that they won't be able to ban those pesky homosexuals from talking about the same exact things and doing the same things with their loved ones that heterosexuals do while in the military for much longer. Maybe some of those crybabies and complainers that are scared of the gays will get out of the military and leave it to the real soldiers and Marines, sailors and airmen who can get past someone's personal life and just do their damn job.

That is the army. We keep the marines around to dive on grenades for us.

I would venture a guess that most of them thought that he should have kept his preference to stick his dick in another man's butt private. You see, even gays have to abide by military law without assuming that they can pick and choose which ones they agree with.

Only to ignorant civilians who don't know the difference between a soldier and a Marine and only to soldiers who try to legitimize their decision to join a Junior Varsity unit. The Marine Corps is known among the branches (the intelligent leadership side) for innovation and advanced techniques that specialize in all combat scenarios. This is something no other branch can do.

By the way, you ever even been in the military to have earned the right to make such derogatory and highly ignorant statements? Or are you just sympathetic towards homosexuals that can't even get married in a civilian court of law?

Just for the record, the Air Medal ain't ****.

I knew a guy that 12 Army Achievement medals, which is purdy much the same thing as an air medal. Come to find out, he put himself in for most of them and his battalion commander blindly signed off on all of the orders.

So we should send the gays to the coast guard and they will like that job better?

Yet Obama is against repealing DADT. It appears Obama lied to gays when he was campaigning. You need Obama more than he needs you. If Obama is against it who will support gays?

I blame Washington and general homophobia. You see, a straight soldier wouldn't have to keep his preference for sticking his dick in a woman private. HENCE THIS ENTIRE DISCUSSION. Nobody is arguing whether or not DADT is a law or whether these discharges were done correctly under that law.

He brought his plane into serious anti-aircraft fire to help some guys on the ground during the opening stages of the Iraq invasion. He was a decorated pilot, and we spent millions of dollars training him. And we kicked him out because he likes dudes.

Apparently the one thing the Marine Corps can't train into you is a sense of humor.

I also love this attitude where if you aren't a Marine, you aren't allowed to talk about them or have an opinion on what they do.

Since we have an all volunteer military why is this even an issue, let the military decide! Interesting that this thread has gone on for 25 pages which just goes to show that with all the problems we have in this country far too many focus on this non issue in the overall scope of things. Gays are certainly passionate about this issue but just a reminder, gays are in a small minority in this country yet seem to scream loudly.
