A union member fired for U.S.S. George W. Bush shirt...

That was the joke, yes.

Hard to tell. Sorry.
It reminds me of an incident at work years ago. A temp summer worker wore a T-shirt to work with our competitors logo on it. The supervisor told him to turn it inside out so our distributors and vendors touring the plant didn't see it. He said he wore it just to get a rise out of the rest of us.

Fail? You could read the BUSH 50 feet away. You could not tell what the picture was at that distance. You fail. The guy knew exactly what he was doing, got the exact reaction he was looking for and you guys just eat it up.

All I can say is you :failpail:

Are you really so obtuse that you cannot see the difference in these stories?

The guy was 'sent home/fired/whatfreakineva' for wearing a shrit that had the name of the ship his son was currently serving on, while working 'for a union' setting up the stage for an Obama appearance.

Your temp worker wore a comperitors logo 'while working directly for your company'... not a union that was setting up a stage at your location.

One was supporting his son proudly... the other was 'trying to get a rise out of you'.
One was workign for a union, NOT for Presiedent Obama, while the other was working directly for your company.

Apples and grapefruit.

The guy wore the shirt working at the Obama event to honor his son? Give me a break. Like I said, you sheep will fall for anything. Does he wear the shirt everywhere or just while working for Obama? It is no big deal, yet he chose to get the media involved to stir up sheep like you.

Is there anything you won't whine about? Your so pavlovian, something so stupid as this little article had you frothing immediately. Your buttons are so easy to push.

I never said the union was right or wrong. Just that the guy did it to create controversy and get on the news. He knew what he was doing.

Evidence?

Oh and did you find out if your claim the guy didn't have a son on that ship pan out?

Evidence?

Evidence? Common sense. Doesn't seem like you right wingnuts have much.
Do you find out if his kid was on the ship, yet? Did you find out if the Dad always wears that shirt to honor his kid? Or does he just wear it to work on Obama jobs? He made sure he found a reporter to get his face on TV, didn't he? Did he get fired or sent home with pay? Is he an Obama supporter or a right winger? This was a contrived set up from the beginning.

I think I'd like to challenge you... can you make any supportive statement or reply to a post without an insult or calling someone or something an ad hominem name? You're common sense? I've yet to see any. I see lots of accusations based on nothing though. You're aces at that.

Well you made the unsupported accusation and claim. It would support your view point if you did or are you thinking I'm going to waste my time trying to prove your unsupportable point? :lamo That's a good one.

Evidence that he sought a reporter out?
This was a contrived set up from the beginning.
Evidence it was contrived?

All you do is make accusations... now take your nose out of "Rules for Radicals" and provide proof because, sorry, you're common sense isn't sense at all.

Evidence? The only evidence of anything is the internet interview. You guys bought it all hook line and sinker. No questions asked. What does that tell you about you ?

Why did the guy decide to wear the Bush shirt(it looked brand new) on the Obama job? Why did he decide to honor his son that day? At work?
Do you think he must have known his supervisor well enough to know how he would react wearing a BUSH shirt at the Obama job?
Why did he seek out the media? He must have, they don't go looking for people that get sent home now, do they?
Why didn't he turn it inside out if he wanted to stay at work? Principle? Too bad.
When a supervisor tell you to do something at work, in order to keep your job you do it, right? The supervisor was trying to cover his own ass. Agree?
Is the shirt wearer an Obama supporter or does he hate Obama?
I am skeptical of this entire event, yet you all seem to believe everything you see on the internet.

I'm simply going to ignore anything else you write until you provide evidence. Until that happens, I'll simply write your nonsense off as well... nonsense. :2wave:

SOME people have the cognitive ability to separate their politics from their personal lives... an ability you apparently lack.

You appear to be skeptical of anything that does not agree with your preconceived notions of how something really is... how sad for you.

That is total BS and dishonest. You people blamed the union, democrats and even Obama when the it was only one guy, the supervisor, that sent him home and you don't even know if the boss was a democrat or republican. It was a non event until the shirt wearer got on TV and gave the republicans another opportunity to trash the democrats. It really was pretty pathetic.
And no I don't buy it that he decided to wear his favorite shirt to work that day to honor his son at work. It was just a coincidence that it had BUSH in giant letters on it. Give me a break.

Now the shirtman is planning a lawsuit. Who would have guessed?

Instead of Joe the plumber...now its Steve the stage hand, a union guy.

He wore a shirt. He got fired for it. It's his employers right to do so. Nothing I can disagree with. If this had been Juan Williams everybody on the right would bitch and complain about freedom of speech until he went off to join FOX who has as many liberals as a KKK meeting in Louisiana.

FOXNews.com - Two Sue Feds Over Anti-Bush T-Shirt Arrest - You Decide 2004

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A couple arrested for wearing anti-Bush T-shirts (search) to a July 4 presidential appearance filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday alleging their First Amendment (search) rights were violated.

Nicole and Jeff Rank were removed from the event at the West Virginia Capitol in handcuffs after revealing T-shirts with President Bush's name crossed out on the front. Nicole Rank's shirt had the words "Love America, Hate Bush" on the back and Jeff Rank's said "Regime change starts at home."

Gee, what do you know? The republicans do it too. You guys must be so embarrassed for all the phoney outrage.
