The only thing shocking is the press hasn't identified who these people really are.
Socialists? In the Dem Party? Nooooooooo... just is not true.
Bearded Marxist? Come on... it was just a joke.

Marxist president? Nooo... he's a uniter, post racial, post partisan, Apple Pie, America loving, tingle up my leg version of George Washington.

Promoting the concept of a one-world government, Conyers told those assembled, "We know that when unions, political ideology, clergy, labor, civil rights come together and just people who are progressive enough to see in this one-world concept that we're all in this together, it makes certain things pretty easy to understand where we are coming from."

The Democratic chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee has been caught on tape meeting with a U.S.-based, Marxist-oriented socialist organization to discuss how the group can cooperate to strengthen President Obama and advance their "one-world" plans.

Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., who has a long history with the Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA, was recorded promoting a "one-world" government, while asking the socialist group to organize against the war in Afghanistan and in support of Obama's policies.

Quick. Someone call Alex Jones!

I was raised on Star Trek - I always thought their ideas for a unified world government to be advanced, novel - and one day possible. Just not for us in our political and cultural climates.

Will it happen one day? Sure. Will it happen soon - no. Should it happen soon - again, no.

But per the actual video - maybe it's just me, my speakers or my net connection - but I found the quality to be so low I couldn't follow half of what he was saying.

I think a one world government would be great if we ever become a multiplanet species. Until than, not so much.

I took '1-world' out of context to confirm my political psychosis!!! BLAAAARGLEARABOOBYWOOOOOOOOHAHAHHAHAOMG!

World Net Daily is almost as funny as The Onion.

Regressives are completely incapable of understanding context, I swear to god.

Thats not true. I have had conservatives argue context with me for things such as the founding fathers, christopher columbus, and slavery.

The slavery part.... you need alot of context for that.
(not kidding)

The context is that we are less primitive than we were 200 years ago.

Wait.... go on if you would, plz.

Many times, I see the justification for stuff happening in the past that I personally find abhorrent goes along the lines of "this thing that you dislike was normal at the time"

My personal view is that society inevitably progresses and liberalizes, no matter what the politics are, its going to happen anyway (which is why I don't get overly concerned about elections, society cannot seem to stop its own internal processes).

Specifically concerning slavery, the inevitable liberalization has made us realize that people are people and no group is inherently biologically inferior to another (culture is a different story in my view).

I agree, mmk thanks! :)

Ultimately, the worst conservatives can do is delay progress for a short amount of time. At least that seems to be the trend of history.

I agree then I think very big complicated heavy things and I revert to my theory that the human race is politically insane. The terminology gets confusing.

The human race evolved to work well in a low technology tribal setting. We have only been out of that for a short amount of time and we are still adjusting to it.

The human race is trying to fit a mind that works well for a tribal society into a modern one. This is where I think most of our political disagreement comes from. We haven't caught up with our own success yet.

Is it the physical mind that is the issue our outdated socially learned constructs?

Well, that was a waste of my time.
