CNN Poll: Was Bush better president than Obama?

Ok then. Let's see some quotes from Bush's "defenders" who blamed Clinton. I'm sure it will be no where close to the blame Bush from Obama and his "defenders" but you'll at least have some proof that it did happen.
The entire exercise is silly - there's no comparison between the President saying "It is someone's fault" and an average supporter of that President saying the same thing.

You might as well be arguing that one of The Obama's supporters declaring that The Obama hates whites people is the same as The Obama himself saying it.

Speaking of fools...

In every one of the things that The Obama, in his 2008 campaign, declared 'wrong' about GWB, The Obama has been worse.

I am not a big fan of President Obamas platform but . . .

These are direct quotes from President Bushs Campaign brochure in the 2000 race.

On the ecomomy --->

"I’ll promote a responsible economic agenda to continue our prosperity"

What happened: By the end of President Bushs second term we were on the verge of an economic collapse. Please note that in his own words the county was in a state of "prosperity"

Strengthen Social Security --->

"Governor Bush believes America has a moral responsibility to save and strengthen Social Security."

What happened: By the end of President Bushs second term Social Security benefits were considered in crisis.

Taxes -->
"I’ll provide tax relief for all Americans, especially those struggling to make it into the middle class." Blah blah "Governor Bush’s goal is to make it easier for people to join the middle class by cutting taxes and making them fairer."

What happened: By the end of President Bushs second term the gap between rich and poor is reaching all time highs. Middle class is becoming extinct.

Vision to Improve Education.--->

"I’ll make our schools accountable for results"

What happened: By the end of President Bushs second term the United states ranks 33rd among first world countries on reading. Just after Brazil....BRAZIL! In no catigory did we rank in the top 20 and only in science in the top 25.

Health care --->

"I’ll reform Health Care so every family has access to affordable health insurance"

What happened: By the end of President Bushs second term over 50 million Americans do not have health care.

World view --->
"He will rebuild our intelligence services. As President Bush will order an immediate review of overseas deployments"

What happened: Umm well you know

So Goobieman, what do you think of those campaign promisses.

My vote is neither on the uphold and defend the Constitution while bearing true faith to the same criteria.

At least Bush will not point fingers at others and blame others the way Obama does

Bush is retired so that comment is inappropriate to the discussion as well as misleading as Bush whined much:

George W. Bush, retreating to familiar ground, has blamed the Clinton administration for North Korea’s nuclear arsenal. But the official who brokered the Clinton-era deal with North Korea called the idea “ludicrous,” and defended his efforts. Bush Blames Clinton Again - Truthdig

Bush Blamed More Than Clinton for Failure to Capture Bin Laden

What about the five trillion plus that President Bush added. I do beleive he also was the one to established the first bail out on Oct 3rd <hushed tone> because that was 3 days after when it counted on the 2008 debt totals. The fiscal year starts on Sept 30th. That made the 700billion bailout appear as though President Obama spent it in 2009. <end of hushed tones> That brings President Bush's total to over SIX TRILLION.

All of the debt the country incured between President George Washington and the end of President Clinton added up to around 5.5 Trillion. President Bush Spent over 6 Trillion. I just dont get this. I dont want President Obama to spend it either so where were you during the last presidency. The country really could have used your help :(

Yet Obama is on his way to triple it

You mean with his bail out of the airline industry?

Considering how highly regulated the airline industry is (having their own govt agency), it's not surprising that the govt has to keep bailing them out.

Who cares about number? Search the discussions here. Do a search. The fact is they did blame Clinton. Hell, they still do this day.

Hell their still bitchen about FDR.:roll:

in the john lennon thread they are still bitchin about Lincoln. :lamo

OF COURSE!!!If Washington had crossed the river a few miles upstream we would be in utopia by now.:mrgreen:

Yet Obama is on his way to triple it

The difference is I am not defending President Obama. I dont want him to spend it either. Where were you when President Bush was spending our money. Where you complaining then or just now that your party is not in power.

So you'd drop the FAA and let the airlines just fly willy-nilly through the skies whenver they want?

That sounds safe!

Besides, I thought your boy Reagan did the airlines the favor of "deregulating" them in the 1980s.

I had a Tea Partier yell at me while I was having a beer with a friend that 9/11 happened while Clinton was in office. Not blaming him for not getting Bin Laden when he could, mind you - but insisting to the point of screaming - that Clinton was in office.

She'd gone so far overboard with her "Bushiness" that when I tried to point out the difference, she put a finger in my face and called me a stupid mother-****er.

I love people who are blatantly factually incorrect who have the cojones to call others stupid mother-****ers.

Of course, I should get used to it - since that's going to be like half of Congress.

Bus was at the time the lesser of 2 evils. The GOP paid for that in 2006 and 2008. I hope they learned a lesson and get back to conservative principles.

In the mean time I did not vote for Rubio but I voted for the constitution party candidate.

How is any of that relevant to what I said, and the topic at hand?
Obama ran on 'fixing' the 'wrongs' of the Bush administration; thus far, he has only made those things worse. Given that, If you believe that Bush was 'bad', you must then believe that The Obama is 'worse'.

THis is a story that says GWB blamed Clinton.
Do you have a cite for direct quote(s) to that effect?

As I always say, misinformation dies a slow, hard death, if it dies at all. I had someone tell me the other day Saddam was behind 9/11. This far down the line, the false belief persists.

Are you serious? You blast President Obama for his campaign promises in post entitled "Was Bush better president than Obama?" and I show that President Bush failed in almost every one of his and you ask how its relevant. What platform do you think President Bush ran on. . "Well things are going pretty well its time someone comes along and Fs things up."

Also you logic is flawed. President Bush = Terrible president <> President Obama is 'worse'.

Can you please be more spasific what President Obama has done worse than President Bush. Maybe a topic with an example.

You missed the point. I'll try to simplify.
The Obama ran on the platform of "I will fix what GWB did wrong".
Since elected, he's done all of those things that GWB did, just to a far worse degree.
So... if you believe that GWB, because of the things he did wrong, was a crappy Preasident, must conclude that The Obama, who was worse at all those things, is a worse President that GWB.

Certainly. Start here:
Respect My Authoritah - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - 6/15/2010 - Video Clip | Comedy Central
Be sure to watch the whole thing.

So your entire argument for President Obama being worse than President Obama is centered around an 8:30 min comedy show clip.

Thats sad.

Sorry President Obama being worse than President Bush.

THere is no question Bush was a big spender but considering who he ran against in Gore and Kerry its a no brainer.....Sometimes your vote for someone might be a staetment sd to who he was running against............As has Obama done Gore and Kerry would have spent much more on their liberal programs..........

Did you know that Sudan offered Clinton OBL in 1998 on a silver platter and Clinton was to busy with Monica getting BJs to accept him...........

First, I see you didnt respond to the substance of the clip. I am not surprised, for to do so would force you to admit my correctness.
Second, in my saying "start here", it shoudl be clear to anyone familiar with the English language that said clip was NOT my entire argument, just the beginning.
So... my statement stands:
If you believe that GWB, because of the things he did wrong, was a crappy Preasident, you must conclude that The Obama, who was worse at all those things, is a worse President than GWB.

Fail to respond to clip. . you being arrogent. . . insult my ability to comprehend english. Are you trying to insult me?? Come on you can do better than that.

You offered no other argument than the clip so to this point it was your ONLY argument. It was an 8:30 minute skit from someone who has made a living off of makeing a joke of President Bush and the Republican party. Yes, President Obama made critiacl statements against President Bush. Saying what President Bush did was poor judgement. John Stewart pointed out how President Obama has made similar choices. Here is what you leave out. If you want to use John Stewart as a litnus test for poor judgement then lets count the number of times he used President Bushs words against him. I win.

Stop trying to insulting me and bring up a real point. Your logic on your last statement is so wacked its hard to even try to point out why its so wrong.
