I am Catholic as well and always found that my giving to charities of my choice was always better than sending that money to D.C. to direct to someplace that they deemed necessary. You see, that is accepting personal responsibility where you delegate that authority to the govt. That is a cop out. Congratulations.

Yes fellow doobies, it was funded in 1938 by FDR, who at the age of 39 contracted the disease.
So they had researchers finding a cure not family doctors. That is the point and the difference I was pointing out

The very ppor, and the very wealthy, but many inbetween can't. And yes, I am prolife, though I prefer winning the argument over making laws. If we don't win the argument, people will just do less safe methods. Much like stopping smoking, I don't want smoking illegal, even though it is clearly harmful. I want abortion to go away as a method, and I want us to make it so it is no longer something anyone feels they need. If prolifers were so hateful so much of the time, I would clearly be on their side, because I think they are mostly right on the issue.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

Not that they can't they don't want to spend the money. It is about priorities. I make less than $40,000 and have my own private healthcare policy. My company does not provide insurance. My insurance rate just increased 30%

It is all about personal priorities and those who chose poorly expect someone else to pay for any bad decision. I had well over a thousand employees, offered full healthcare coverage for both full and part time employees and paid for 80% of the cost of coverage. Because the majority of the employees were under the age of 30, 50% opted not to participate in the program. I never paid minimum wage, always was generous with pay increases yet some people chose not to pay for any healthcare insurance at all. How about it, Boo, is personal choice only important when it comes to abortion?

Yes, food or medicine, rent or insurance. yes, these are choices. You genralize too much. I'm sure some fit your critieria, but some do not. A good number have to make much harder choices than you sugegst.
