Yes, voters hate a call for sanity. We love fear mongering hyperbole and silliness so much that our anger will be great. That explains the tea party.

And add to the post above, that they want less government, but don't touch my SS or Meidicare. Notice a lot of the silly signs at their rallies, all that socialism and marxist nonsense, and no you can't pass that off on anyone else. Look at their candidates, who are quite questionable.

Dennis Miller would be a great idea as a guest for the DC event. Leans right but really doesn't take himself too seriously.

Stewart and Miller together could generate some great banter.... ;)

Great banter makes me a very happy panda. It's actually first on my list of what I need in a prospective mate. That and exceptionally huggable.

Yeah, it would be nice, but the reality might be something different entirely. Comedians can rub each other the wrong way, especially if they are both political or social satirists with different outlooks.

I'm a chicken. I know if it's possible to get busted, I'd get busted. Also, last time I smoked was about 25-30 years ago so who knows how it would affect me now, and/or if I'd like it.

My girlfriend still smokes it...I won't let her bring it in the car 'cause i'm paranoid.
