Obama: Critics 'talk about me like a dog'

and with that spirit in mind. why don't we evict all the poor and destitute? we would do much better without the leaches of society.

All the poor and destitute are leaches?
Consider that leaches suck a little blood and then leave. Unbridled corporations suck until all assets of a compamy are gone. You may be too young to remember the time when large businesses would buy out other businesses, then loot the assets, including retirement funds, calling them "over funded", and then dissolving the company, leaving the employees without jobs.

I don't know what YOUR civilian job is, but it is unlikely that you, or most of us on this forum, will ever be multi-millionaires, yet many of us support that kind of greed.
In economic terms, it is better to have a thousand millionaires than it is to have one billionaire, but the corporate world insists on taking and hoarding a disproportionate portion of the economic pie. Tell me you think that is smart, and why it might be.

Well, this was a fun thread.. NOT! :)

We warned you all about Obama. No executive experience, no legislative experience except I think he co-sponsored a bill once, and voted presetn something like 130 times, I guess all that "hope" was a projection that you hoped none of that would matter if you all elected the idiot in chief.

I didn't vote for the man, but his inexperience isn't why. After all, we had lots of experienced politicians to choose from, but some of them were too obviously past it (McCain), or too Mormon (Romney), or too often married (Ghouliani), or simply in prison or likely to end up there. Voters don't choose with their brains as much as their impressions, and too often all we know about a candidate is delivered in sound bites and media manipulated "debates". The GOP is STILL looking for a viable candidate for 2012, so far they got nothing...

sure, just like all the wealthy are greedy, selfish hoarders. funny how hyperbole and broad generalizations can go both ways, isn't it?

I also remember times when there was slavery and times when men lived in caves and wore animal skins. but we aren't living in "those times" any more.

Well, I tend to vote with my brain, so not sure what you're talking about. It is our responsibility as voters to be informed. I take that seriously everytime I cast my vote. The GOP has plenty of qualified candidates. I personally like Christie in NJ, but sadly I don't think he is going to run for the top job.

YOU said all....I didn't. ANd you can be wealthy without being one of the criminally greedy. And if you think we aren't living in those times, you need to be better informed. Read "A random walk down Wall Street", it tells of various methods over the years that Wall Streeters used to get money from unsohisticated investors. Of course, they tend to go too far, and govt has to draw them up short, but they just find a new way under new rules to take from the middle class and give to the rich.
Either you are one of those crooks, or you like being victimized.
Also read up on the Savings and Loan scandal, Enron, dotcom bubble, etc. Those are not ancient history, and they show Wall street for what it is, the new face of organized crime....
BTW, I am considered wealthy by many standards.....

Um, no. We aren't evicting anyone. The wealthy were leaving on their own terms.
