Her Army unit was involved in maintenance and supply. I highly doubt that she/they received proper weapons training. A desert environment can be very demanding on assault rifles that aren't well cleaned and maintained. When training in the Negev, I'd sometimes place black electrical tape over the muzzle to minimize corrosive sand contamination. The first round travels down a clean barrel and removes the tape.Yes, I saw that too. But doesn't it seem odd that "all the units weapons systems were jammed" and not just Lynch's? Because that would suggest that it was something else besides not just cleaning their weapons. Unless of course the unit was never trained to clean their guns since they were just a supply unit. I dunno, you military experts would know more about that stuff than I would.
