Re: Across Texas, 60,000 babies of noncitizens get U.S. birthright

    I have just one question:

Why are you blaming the Constitution, or blaming the illegals, when the real blame lies with those employers who hire them, so that they can save a buck? I see a lot of people calling the Liberals anti-American for taking the stance they are taking, but why aren't those same people even more outraged at those employers who exploit the illegal aliens for profit, thus giving them a home in the United States? If it wasn't for the employers, there would be absolutely no reason for illegal aliens to come here, and there would be absolutely no reason to want to change the Constitution.

Put the blame for illegal aliens where it belongs - On the enablers of illegal aliens, otherwise known as the employers who hire them.

    FilmFest,

That's exactly the kind of stuff I was referring to. Illegal immigration didn't become a problem until some choose to "see it as a political issue", not a real problem to tackle because if it truly was about securing the boarders or anchor babies the GOP would have addressed the problem a long time ago.

Now, to be fair BOTH PARTIES are at fault because on the one hand, Republicans are just trying to drum up votes on the hate, anger and frustration tip, but Democrats are just as to blame because they see Hispanics as a strong voting block. As such, they tend to lean moreso on the side of "righteous, moral convictions" rather than "just do the right thing and secure the boards and deport those who are here illegally." Problem is, the "illegals" Republicans are going after never flew a commercial jet into our tallest buildings, they didn't attempt to blow up our subways and didn't try to plant a bomb in their shoe over the Christmas holiday.

So, if you're really gonna go after illegals in this country, why not go after ALL OF THEM! Especially those who have tried and are STILL TRYING to do this country harm?

It just makes sense to me. But again, I understand the issue. I just think Republicans are being very disengenuine about it....moreso than their Democrat counterparts.

Repeat the same BS and in time you start to believe it...

    Even if it isn't true...

I just sounds so good floating around in your head you just have to repeat it.

(Pssst...got news for you...that's the sound of insanity you're listening to.)

What you don't seem to understand is that all is fair in love, war, and politics...... and we are going to use everything we can to make the landslide in 2010 and 2012 as big as possible.....and Barry didn’t help your cause one bit by taking Arizona to court over their attempt to slow the illegal invasion down…. Thanx Barry.

But it means - as Republicans seem to really enjoy doing - that you're ignoring facts; blocking bills that will create jobs; all for the sake of power - so we can return to the party whose policies created massive income gaps which led to the recession in the first place.

A new metaphor: you'd rather have the people who f'ed things up instead of the one's who aren't fixing it quickly enough?

Heck even China is getting into the business. Services can be purchased to get expecting moms into the US to have the baby. Bingo another American citizen with non US parents. I believe the time is here for a change.

For many pregnant Chinese, a U.S. passport for baby remains a powerful lure

Only if actual intent can be proved. Most estranged foreigners don't know anything about US laws. They're just glad to be here. Taking care of new babies is just an added burden. Even if the baby is an instant citizen there is no advantage because if the parents are sent back they have the choice of taking the baby with them, or leaving it here for adoption.

If Congress puts the blame on big business, they'll lose those fat envelopes they get for their election money chest, and the more money they spend the more chance to get re-elected.

Bottom line... It all comes down to survival politics.

Same thing with the welfare political issue. It was demonized as a handout for deadbeat dads and welfare moms. It was a slam dunk and probably got Reagan elected, because the poor and needy have no lobby or representation of any kind.

In addition to employers luring these people here, the Welfare system contributes to the problem. Illegal immigration isnt as simple as kicking all the illegals out but also killing all the socialist entitlement programs.
