Re: Obama to 'Netroots:' We have begun to deliver on change

    Ummm . . .

The mandate is either a regulation of interstate commerce, OR it's a tax. The one has nothing to do with the other. That you don't know that illustrates why you should not be making these sweeping pronouncements.

The Administration is, of course, claiming NOW that it's a tax, even though Obama argued tooth and nail that it wasn't when Stephanopoulos called him on it earlier this year. Square that with this:

Article 1, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution:

No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Of course, in order to do that, you have to know what all of it means; your answer should pretty much tell us whether you do or don't.

Also, this "tax" originated in the Senate, as it was the Senate bill taken up and passed by the House. Constitutionally, all taxes must originate in the House.

That Obama bothers to video tape something for the most extreme left wing nutroots shows and proves he's an ideologe who knows where his bread is buttered. The moonbat gathering is his base. Glad to see it's no longer being denied.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

You're kidding, right? Can you show me in the healthcare bill where purchase of insurance policies can be done across state lines now?

The mandate is a tax and thus it is completely legal.
Yet when he was pushing the damned thing, he stated that it positively was not a new tax.

Arguing that Obama is violating the constitution is a joke. The guy was a professor of constitutional law for 12 years. I've said it many times, you are never going to catch Obama violating the constitution.

He's Bush III on many issues so I'm not sure I'd go with "greatest president of a generation."

I'd say "Well, he's slightly better than the GOP but he's still presiding over massive corporate welfare."

This is true, but only if you're talking about raising the national debt.

He hasn't delivered on his campaign promises, which were the entire reason people were so hyped to have him in office. After the abysmal Bush administration, Obama was setting himself up to be the country's reprieved, but IMO he is only a bit better than Bush.

I am very, very disappointed in Obama.

He's going to have a long, long list of accomplishments come election time.

Please to be listing these things he has 'done moreso in the first two years'.... Thanks.

Yeah, he's not done, till Nov 2010.
Then America get's to pass judgement on him, and in 2012 he gets to join Carter.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

I can only hope that vision comes through.

Yeah! More to jack things up than any other president. Not something to be proud of, there.
