Oil on Pensacola Beach - CNN iReport

Of course, as stated above, these areas are now closed to the public, not even the media can access them anymore, for "health reasons."

I live in a small southern town, and I started flying again for work on October 11, 2001. We had armed NG in our airport for approximately 6 months.

LOL nothing like the media to take a photo of one place and then call it "9 miles of beach".

I see a little bit of oil in one spot. Ya outta see what we're dealing with here. Stop ya bitchin'.

This coming from the same person that said "No way are thousands of jobs associated with 33 wells" and when proven wrong, you do nothing to admit you were wrong and just pretend like you didn't say it. This also coming from someone who gladly fills up their tank. Hey you don't want oil drilling, stop pumpin'. If you don't stop pumpin, you need to ************* and stop ya bitchin'.

And if you don't like my logical explanation I'm just going to have to invoke the "Everything changed after 9/11" rule.
So, to prevent one disaster that might happen, you're willing to put hundreds of thousands of people in the unemployment line?

    How ****ing stupid is that?

So, what do you do for a living?

33 rigs were shut down. There's been only one offshore drilling permit issued since the spill. That decreases the GOM rig count by three-quarters.

So, let's do the math: three-quarters of the offshore demand is gone. Wouldn't it make sense three quarters of the work coming into oilfield service companies is going to decrease by three-quarters? it would; huh?

Let's say your employer's revenue base shrunk by three-quarters. Whatcha think might be the result of that? A few layoffs?

They could pay their employees to do clean up work the next six months.

Are you ****ing kidding me? You say this like you're proud of the horrific devastation.

This coming from the same person that said "No way are thousands of jobs associated with 33 wells" and when proven wrong, you do nothing to admit you were wrong and just pretend like you didn't say it. Objective Voice already corrected your statistics, but that hasn't kept Apdst, the oil company shill, from exaggerating the jobs in the hundreds of thousands. You've misquoted me, by the way. I stated that there was no way that 50,000 jobs were lost from 29 oil rigs. That information remains correct. But, nice try. Especially after you completely stepped in it over the oil on Pensacola beach.

There are almost 4,000 active wells pumping oil in the gulf. That's not sufficient for you?

What percentage of 4,000 wells do the 33 deepwater rigs represent?

Beyond that, there are over 27,000 abandoned wells in the gulf at present, some of which may be leaking. Perhaps, instead of drilling new wells, the oil companies should be using those existing wells.

FOXNews.com - 27,000 Wells Abandoned, Unchecked in Gulf

I can't believe people actually buy the nonsense you post.

So, we have almost 4,000 active wells, and 27,000 abandoned wells, and you're bitching because we're not drilling any new deepwater wells until we figure out how to prevent another deepwater horizon?

Your posts are not even rational. I mean, seriously. what in the hell are you thinking?

Anyone can see that with 31,000 wells in the gulf, if the oil companies can't make a buck without drilling new deepwater wells, there's a ****ing problem, Houston.
