See, you think that passing a rule changes people's attitudes. It doesn't. What changes people's attitudes is seeing evidence that their attitude is wrong, not forcing them to adopt a behavior that they have zero investment in.

    Stupid hate speech rules.
I hate having to listen to the mysogynists and rascists though.

Here is the fallacy to this whole thing. There ARE a LOT of women succeeding and thats a GOOD thing. There are more CEOs...again...a good thing tho truth be told, there are a LOT of paper CEO's...women who have been hired to be figureheard CEOs of businesses so they can compete for minority priority government contracts. Still

As long as we still have this ever increasing number of women that are the coed campus bar slut girls gone wild, spring break bimbos, then it is highly unlikely that we will ever see a real shift in male/female relations. I suspect what we WILL see is an increase in the disfucntional and disordered male/female relations and a DECREASE in the positive male/femal relations in quanitity...with percentages remaining fairly constant.

Sack up. Life is hard. If you don't like what they say, challenge them, toe to toe. Say, "I don't like what you said." That's what it takes for some folks to stop saying those things.

And, in the long run, that's a huge mistake, professionally speaking.
And, you are one of the ones who became tough, and prostituted her femininity for the sake of professional gains.

Ah, you say that like it's a bad thing. I am tough. I take pride in that. You wouldn't last a day in my job. Most people on this board wouldn't (I'll make an exception for Vance, Caine, Goshin or Hellhound).

I do a tough job, and I'm a tough woman.

AND, I ENJOY being female and being able to kick ass on the job. It's not an either/or choice. I like cooking, and wearing makeup, and having pretty clothes, and showing that I can still do the job while being feminine and sexy.

I don't feel like I'm obligated to give up one part of myself to have the other part. I do NOTHING that I don't want to do.

You're acting like some kind of weird martyr/victim. I don't get it. Being a woman is powerful. My body is amazing. I can have multiple orgasms, and cook a fantastic meal, and do meaningful work, and bring life into the world. I LIKE being a woman.

Why wouldn't I want to be tough, for that matter? Or sexy?

I am just making fun of him, as a joke. Anyway, I am off to a new discussion. This one is dying.

hey, that sounds like an attack!

Mell...just an observation? Most guys arent racists or sexists. And most of us respect the hell out of women that EARN equal privelege instead of whining about how unfair life is.

Ive worked with a lot of women in the military. Some...frankly I wouldnt piss on em if they were on fire. Some I'd follow into the depths of hell. The difference is what their actions show, not their words. And those actions dont in a single way diminish their femininity...it ENHANCES it. Unless of course you define femininity as weak, annoying, I want equal rights but I dont want to have to tote a tool box or carry a weapon, dont want to crack a nail, dont make jokes I might perceive as sexist blah blah balh...

Women have a better intuition than most men because most men think with the wrong head. It is sometimes known as plain old horse sense.
