Alot of people can debunk John Stewart... however I'd say the times when he shows a politician saying one thing, and doing another, is the time when he's more credible then any newscaster on TV.

Seeing as how that's most of his routine...
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

After several years of viewing the program I have a hard time believing that "some good discussions" were held. They are very adolescent at best.

Yeah, which is why he gets the "trusted" label. His team is incredibly good at combing through a politician's past and finding them saying EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what they are saying now. Or DOING exactly what they are attacking. The Daily Show isn't really a "news show." It's more of a "show about the news."

Did you see the light gray part of your link that has this blurb:

Note: Poll results are not scientific and reflect the opinions of only the users who chose to participate
About all we can gather from this poll reliably is that someone at Time magazine decided to include John Stewart in the poll options.

what happens to a poll once it hits the internet is notoriously inaccurate and easily skewed, a few tweets, text messages, or posts in forums is all it takes to get the ball rolling.. I would have voted John Stewart myself, knowing full well that he is absolutely NOT a newscaster, merely because his name was on the list.

Yes, but their "opinion" (of those involved) seems to be that John Stewart is a reliable newscaster.

I think what we can gather is that:

    A) Respondents cannot read
    B) Respondents think John Stewart is a reliable newscaster
    C) Respondents have nothing better to do with their time than vote in polls without caring about the question
