Mexican Students Knock U.S. Flag to the Ground

This has NOTHING to do about race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? How did our white dudes in the truck know the people they were taunting were illegal? GASP! They didn't. Given the ages of the hispanics they were likely legal. But I'll tell you what. If you have a video of them taunting a Canadian or Swede we'll talk. Common sense indeed. They were targeting people for taunting based solely on race. So that pretty much makes it racial. Unless they have some special X-Ray vision that spots who is and isn't illegal, race is ALL they have to go on. But no, that wasn't it. Please.

NOTHING TO DO ABOUT RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you think it DOES, my cats have more common sense than you do.
They are using this BS race thing as a distraction. Its their ONLY hope to get around them being here ILLEGALLY!!!!!!!

Think about it.

Of course not. it has everything to do with liberal politicians trying to get re-elected in November.

Look at the idiocy of the whole anti-Arizona argument. Arizona is RACIST for telling its police officers to follow federal (and now state law) (never mind that Arizona has a suspected 400,000+illegal immigrants). Arizona is racist for asking suspected illegals to produce an ID card, green card (as is MANDATED by federal law to be carried) even though, you, I and damn near every other American citizen has to do the same thing if we want to make a damn credit card purchase. Why...the INUMANITY...

No...that should be done by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT...the INS should be asking mexicans for their documentation...and THEN it wouldnt be profiling???

****ing morons...

Thats such a stupid argument it doesnt bear wasting bandwidth to discuss. Really dood...with anywhere between 20 and 30 MILLION illegal immigrants from mexico and a thousand pouring across the border a day...you REALLY want to go all "swedish" on us? You REALLY cant see the blatantly obvious reality that the reason why the people of spanish...ummm...I mean mexican decent are being questioned is because there ARE 20-30 million of them here illegaly? Tell you what...when Canadians start ouring across the border...we'll talk about them too...

I would like a thread that involves [random student] doing [random thing] to other student's [random body part]. That would be novel.

How did they know they were illegal? I'll wait here. Thanks a bunch. And this thread isn't about Arizona's law, so why you keep bringing it up I'll never know. Start another thread if you want to talk about that. Dood, let's stay on topic. Either the taunters knew the people were illegal or they taunted based on race. Simple as that.

Just out of curiosity...when your family's trailer has a cockroach infestation do you just ignore it because hey...you have ants too...

Golly...WHY ARE we talking about immigration in this country...hmmm....I just...I just cant imAGINE it has ANYTHING to do with Arizona...hmmm...

Again, off topic. Start another thread on insects if you want to talk about them. Did you even read the OP? Because your responses look like you are in another thread.

We talk about a lot in this country. But it all does not have to be in one thread.

Why are we talking about any of this....Im stumped...really. I cant IMAGINE why those fine citizens were out in the street holding an anti-enforcement walkathon...

Come on...you can do better than that...WHY are we having these discussions? What do they revolve around. Or...prior to the passage of the AZ law how many threads did we have on 'racist' enforcement of federal laws.

We all know why. However, that doesn't mean they are illegal. Tons of people here legally don't like the law.

Personally, I think it's a non-issue because I don't think the law is going to be around for very long.

Actually if you look at my first post on this thread I believe i said something to the effect that i highly doubt anyone in the video could find mexico on a map. I think they are just a bunch of assholes protesting for the sake of protesting about enforcement of a law they dont understand and dont really give a damn about except someone has told them it was somehow a violation of their 'rights.'

What is your objection to the law...just out of curiosity. And instead of the law...what would you have Arizona do?

Enforce the laws already on the books.

I never said I had an objection to the law. I just don't think it will survive. The biggest factor is going to be jurisdiction. Immigration Law is a Federal matter, so I think (just an opinion) that the first challenge to the law will result in it being overturned. And that challenge will happen the day the first person gets arrested. When you throw in the inevitable racial profiling cases, overcrowded local jails, overtaxed court system, boycotts and protests I think they will just give up. Of course we'll see what happens and I may be wrong, but I think this law is toast.

I agree...and I think it is not a little comical the leftists continue to bitch about the state of Arizona passing this law and accusing them of being both racists and engaging in profiling...and instead want the INS to enfore federal law...and of course....they ummmm...investigate...errrr...people...that...ummm...look like...ummm...mexicans...

Well...its now a state law...and most pf the people that have examined it have said it isnt illegal. But we'll see. And of course...jurisdiction really doesnt come into play when those that are SUPPOSED to enforce it never bother to...

Well it actually does come into play. That's the point. We have separation of powers here and immigration is a Federal issue just like murder is a state one. If your state decided to stop prosecuting murder the Feds could not step in and do it. They have no jurisdiction unless they can make a civil rights case out of it. And even that isn't a murder charge. The Feds not enforcing the law makes no difference here.

But assume Arizona can arrest someone with no papers. Then what? They cannot deport them. It's not legal. They can't fill their jails with them. That's impossible. So they get let go. In the end not much is going to happen here.

I don't see why people are getting all up in arms over this law....it's not going to be enforced just like all the other laws are not enforced.

It will for a little while. Then you are right. It won't. Too much cost for too little gain.

As I understand it they arent ging to arrest someone with no documentation. They are going to investigate and if found to be here iullegally they will be in violation of state law and jailed accordingly. Sherrif Joe will just have to build a few more tents.

But Im ALL FOR the fed stepping in and doing it. And as soon as they do Az wont HAVE to.

I think the point is that Arizona likely CAN'T. No matter what they want. At least it appears that way. And very few local governments have the money for new jails or bigger ones. The state sure as hell doesn't. We'll see what happens, of course, but I'm guessing next to nothing. I see no realistic scenario for success here. It's likely unconstitutional and it's even more likely too expensive to work.

Notice how whenever the Democrats get in power, racial tensions begin to flare.
Please provide the statistics that show racial tensions are higher when democrats are in "power". Oh and what do you mean by "in power", just the Presidency or just the Senate or just the HoR or when they control all three?
