Despite plan, not a single fire boom on hand on Gulf Coast at time of oil spill

On another note:

Do we realize the Obama, just a month ago approved offshore oil drilling to begin without requiring his campaign contributors (BP) to put in an auto-shut-down valve on their rigs, and then when the spill happens, pretends its no big deal to avoid raising attention. Unfortunately for Obama, it was a massive spill and now its too late to stop the catastrophe.

Which is his fault for relying upon their estimates. The lack of shutoff valve was based on the claim that such an accident at that depth was extremely unlikely. I frankly don't know why we trust oil companies on safety measures anymore. Especially after Valdez. They just "happened" not to turn the radar on and have mandatory emergency vehicles on hand.

Also OC, you have just been exposed...

Come again? Where on the site does it say that any of them work in waves over 3 feet?
