The Governor of Arizona was just on Fox and in that state that is the law..........I don't know about California....Its so ****ed up...........

The cases that were ruled unconstitutional were were the police had drivers perform random FST's or asked for driver's licenses which were then run through data banks to search for warrants. Those cases were held to be detentions.

You got a link describing that they cannot ask for your drivers license at a DUI checkpoint?

You still have not explained why racial profiling is racist. Instead you are defensive and abusive. Not a good debating strategy.

It has nothing to do with "Selling souls for votes". I agree that "REAL" immigration reform is necessary. But this silly law was ill conceived, not thought out...and does nothing other than appeal to the passions of those who want to get riled up over illegal immigration. THAT is the problem with legislators who are not intelligent enough to write a good bill....but love to political grandstand.

Well....that's wrong. Either you heard it wrong or the Governor has their facts wrong. Then again...it was on FOX, so I wouldn't be shocked if they were also giving you bad facts.
Look at the law for yourself. Probable cause is not required.

I'm not going to go link hunting to educate you. Educate yourself. Or call a DUI lawyer, they can explain it to you. The facts are the facts....they are out there if you wanna take a few minutes to educate yourself.

Like I said...she is either wrong or lying....or FOX is once again distorting the facts. Read up on the law yourself. The law does not require probable cause, only reasonable suspicion.

There is a thing called the internet, if you want to educate yourself. I've already been to law school and did DUI law for 5 years. I'm not going to waste my time trying to educate you. You can do that on your own time.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer last week signed a new law into effect that authorizes local police to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant.

The article says that.

The actual law does not.

You would do well to learn the difference between an article and a law. The author of this piece used a poor choice of words, perhaps deliberately, and does not reflect the empirical truth of reality.
 
The actual law states, and i quote:
FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE, WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON. You have to understand that DD is the biggest Liberal and Obama lover in DP and he knows how important the Hispanic vote is even if it tramples over the rights of legal aliens and other Americans who entered this country legally......The only important thing to him is Hussein Obama gets reelected......

The question remains: is racial profiling racism? It is not.
