Three of the largest contingent of voters for Obama were latinos, blacks, and young people. Indeed. He had near record, if not record, turn out and support from those groups.

There is times I have no problem saying someone is playing the race card. This isn't it. This is someone being a politician. Election time is heating up and he's trying to rally three groups who he had strong sway over and support from in 2008. Not really unusual here.
    Quite right.

I think someone would have a much easier time arguing that Rush and the conservative media that is pushing this "the president is racist for talking to black people" meme is playing the race card. Trying to scare white voters into thinking that their tax dollars will be going towards reparations and that white's will be second class citizens.

Mind you, I don't really think any of these people are racist, many of them would gladly get behind a black guy that follows their ideology, that's what I think about most people. But it's fairly obvious that they have no qualms in playing the race card to garner up votes, as I don't think most politicians and pundits would.

Well right now in NY Gubernatorial election we have Warren Redlich who got the LP nomination over the weekend and plans to get the Republican nomination too.

Is it safe to say then, the President accepts that he does not represent the entire nation?

He is POSOTUS; President of Some Of The United States.

Err, no? Because that's not what he said?

Ugh... to living and breathing Americans?

Geez, I clearly remember him saying "there is not a red America or a Blue America, there is The United States of America."

I am sure it would also apply in this manner: "There is no white America, Red, Yellow, Brown, Olive or Black America, there is The United States of America".

But no. This is our Balkanizer. Batteries not included.
