Poll: Most Tea Party Supporters Say Their Taxes Are Fair

So, you don't trust Factcheck? Why not give us a link to a site you do trust?

About 47 percent will pay no federal income taxes at all for 2009. Either their incomes were too low, or they qualified for enough credits, deductions and exemptions to eliminate their liability. That's according to projections by the Tax Policy Center, a Washington research organization.

You see, the statement was obviously false on the face of it. How can you cut 95% of the peoples taxes if 47% don't even pay taxes? ( hint.... can't cut something that isn't there )

Here, read this article from what I consider a reliable source, then tell me how smart you think Barry is.

Facts, Math, Science, and History all have an established liberal bias. ;)

Very true when the facts, math, science, and history is distorted by a liberal agenda.

I see. So, technically, it's only 95% of the actual taxpayers, not that percentage of the citizens of this country, who got a break. If 47% don't pay taxes, and so aren't taxpayers by definition, then only 53% x 95%, or about half, of the total population got a tax break.

Did a higher percentage get a tax break from the tax cuts advocated during the past administration, I wonder?

Dang old pesky liberal facts anyway. Who needs facts when we have conventional wisdom to guide us?

Paying no federal income tax is not the same thing as paying no taxes.

That's no ****!!!!!! What's your point?

Remember, it was you trying to pass off that lie about 95% of people got a tax break. Back it up with a good source.

Reality has a well known liberal bias.” — Stephen Colbert, White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, 4/29/2006

My emphasis.

So you take his sarcastically idiotic statement at face value. I love it when that happens.

Well, you know, if you can say anything that doesn't match what you believe is liberal bias, you don't have to deal with any facts. You can make all kinds of stuff up and who can prove you wrong. It really simplifies things a lot. :(;)

How the hell can math be distorted by liberal agenda?

Student: 2 plus 2 equals 4

Teacher: Incorrect, Timmy. 2 plus 2 equals 4 is an evil capitalistic construct designed to enslave the masses. The correct answer is 2 + 2 = communism.

The correct answer is 2 + 2 = communism.

Funny, that sounds exactly like a right-winger talking. They sure do find communism everywhere these days.

If right wingers were teaching math with a conservative bias, it would be "2 + 2 = Jesus, and don't let those commie ****ers tell you it equals 4, cause they're wrong and they just can't stand the fact that it equals Jesus in our Christian nation".

Yeah, that sounds right. I think I read that in a Texas textbook.

It's all over and it crosses all political divides. I just looked through an Illinois Algebra textbook and here is one of the liberal-agenda-based problems I found:

Problem

If Jesus was at Cana transsubstantiating jugs of water into wine at a pace of 0.43 jugs per minute, how many water jugs could Jesus turn into wine in an hour.

Solution

The correct answer is 0 because Jesus didn't exist. Religion is the opiate of the masses. All hail Obama!

That's a hilarious parody! I heard another one - Texas is going to emphasize the role of Christianity in American history but not Thomas Jefferson or separation of church and state!

No, wait, that's real.

Sometimes reality is more absurd than any parody we can think of.

I'll tell you one thing, my taxes sure as **** aren't fair. I'm an independent contractor, so I get taxed as a higher rate than someone else who makes the exact same amount of money as I do because of small business taxes and such.

That's not a fair system.

Then you should be glad we have a president in office who cares enough about the unfair tax burden places on the nation's citizens and small businesses. One of his campaign promises that is still in the works in changing the tax codes to be more fair.

When I start believing in campaign promises, I'll also be the proud owner of a bridge in Brooklyn.

I can't find the particulars you mentioned. Surely you can show me where in this link. I'll wait.

In the text of the bill:

Pre-existing condition ban - section 1101, 1201
Exchanges - section 1311
subsidies - section 1401

Go to thomas.loc.gov and search for HR3590, then go to the CRS summary if you want an easier way to look at it.

We both know you didn't look though, and are just trolling. And everyone with even a basic knowledge of this law that doesn't get it all from Faux News knows these things are in the bill. Even those who oppose them don't go around saying they aren't there.
