Are you going to honestly tell me that the reason that the nude female breast has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that men have turned them into a sexual object? Then please, explain to me why a nude female breast is deemed as "indecent", while a nude male breast isn't.

Nonetheless, the purpose of a breast is for feeding offspring. Did you know that if stimulated by the right hormones, men's breasts will become enlarged, and they have milk-making equipment and can lactate? True story.

Only with the proper dose of hormones, my dear. For the record, we've had at least one poster on here who was probably milkable.

Yes, I know this, and it's "function", not "purpose". Evolution does not design things, but things do serve a function. Breasts function to feed infants, but the size and shape of breasts is unrelated to that function. Some other evolutionary force is in action that selected for enlarged breasts.

PORTLAND, Maine - About two dozen women drew a crowd of onlookers when they shed their shirts and marched downtown in Maine's largest city to promote what they call equal-opportunity public toplessness.

Organizer Ty MacDowell said the point of Saturday's march in Portland was that a topless woman out in public shouldn't attract any more attention than a man who walks around without a shirt.

The Portland Press Herald reports that by the end of the march, more than 500 people had amassed - a mix of marchers, young men snapping photos, oglers and people just out enjoying a sunny, warm day.

It's not illegal for a woman to be topless in public in Maine, and police said there were no incidents or arrests.

I think it's far too easy to cast this type of an issue aside as some "annoying feminist" issue. It's nothing more than a cop out. I'd honestly love to see a logical argument from someone as to why a nude female breast is somehow inherently indecent while a nude male breast is a-ok. It can't be simply due to size because there are plenty of obese males out there who are bordering on a D cup.
i wish those d cup males wouldn't go topless, it offends me.

I think it's safe to say that we all get a little offended when they go topless.

    Re: Women pushing equal-opportunity toplessness

I still don't get what they were protesting. The fact that it's legal for them to go topless in that state?

On the branch topic... I also have yet to see/hear a good reason why women can't go topless in general. Apparently they can in Maine, which is cool... more women should take advantage of that. But it's just plain stupid that it's so taboo for them to do it elsewhere.

Except Africa. Apparently it's okay in Africa. Hell, it's even okay to show their boobies on TV here.
