We are a Christian Nation....

We are a Christian Nation, And 78% are in unison of the fact. This is a democracy and in a democracy the majority rules.

Actually, that not the case. Look at many of our laws and court rulings which have been designed to protect the rights of the minorities. What do you think the civil rights of the 1960's was about?

Well it's pretty obvious that you just want me to cease posting at all because we have two different opinions. I'm not doing anything different than the posters that disagree with me, yet you're not saying anything to them?

You have yet to acknowledge the obvious fact that you are defining "Christian Nation" differently than everyone else. THAT is what is going on here, and THAT is what you are doing differently. It is now seeming that you are doing so to, in an underhanded way, use this thread to profess your hatred of Islam. All that is equivalent to trolling. You have been warned twice. That's all you will be warned.

Maybe because he is defending the truth..........

NP, the premise of this thread has already been debunked, The definition of "Christian Nation" is being used differently than it is normally used. Are many of our laws based on Christian values? Yes. Are the majority of folks in the US Christian? Yes. Does that make this a Christian Nation? In the way this term is usually defined, NO.

No it's not about "hating Islam". I've only mentioned Islam twice in this entire thread. Why would i use this thread to profess my "hatred of Islam" when I was planning on starting an Islamist thread anyways...

 I'm speaking on behalf of the majority of America.

More than that:

We're either a land of Muslims or a land of Crusaders. There is no gray area between the two. This is a Crusading nation and the entire planet is well aware of this. Our military is nothing more than modern day Crusaders. Crusaders are Christians.

It is what it is...

It is true.

9/11 wasn't the first day we went to war with the Muslims.

Because if this nation doesn't claim a religion then someone else will.

Would you rather me defend Islam?

Well that's the main prize in the eyes of Islam. But yeah, One day America will probably become an Islamic nation.(not in our lifetime) Islam is the one with the momentum, not us.

You're not fooling anyone, PonyBoy.

No, you are STILL getting it wrong. The majority of Americans may be Christian, but that does not translate into the majority of Americans defining Christian Nation in the unusual way that you do. Give it another try.

Being the majority why would they need you to speak on their behalf?

So what you're telling me is that even though the majority of America is Christian they wouldn't dare define America as a Christian nation?

One of the most famous christian preachers, Billy Graham, doesnt define this country as a christian nation

Who cares what Billy thinks.

They dont need your help. Btw the crusades were a miserable failure.

No that's where you're wrong.

Who prospered through commerce and trade and spawned the development of the new world through their Crusades? The Crusaders(The west)

Who still lives in a backwards war stricken environment who's overlooked by Western military out posts. Muslims

...and the Crusades are still raging.

In bold. That's 5. No agenda, eh?

The crusades had very little to do with that. Retaking the holy land was a failure that cost man lives. Who has all the oil? Oh Muslims. Who relies on it? Us. The new world wasnt spawned and developed by the crusades. You dont even have cursory knowledge of history.

We're not talking about official religions. What religion was this country first built on?

NONE. It was built on ideals that didn't need religion to back them up. They were built on ideals shared by all of humanity, included Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Atheists, etc.

This country was not built on a religion. Official documents like the Treaty of Tripoli back that up.

You're delusional! Where is the West and where is the Middle east on prosperity?

Of course they have most of the oil....and the crusaders walk in, establish "democracy" and govern the oil ourselves. It's a beautiful thing...
