I agree with what you are saying. It's right on, but they never listen. I've tried calling them out on this and they either ignore the post or saying something like "you're just one of them damn liberal commies!"

When Bush was in office I was against his banker bailout and they called me a socialist. I was also against Obama's bailout but strangely they called me a patriot for that view. It's all double standards at it's best.

Hey you or your left wing buddy brought it up...I wish he would have sent the troops when the General asked for them instead of 3 months later...Probably could have saved some lives if he had done that..

I am just responding to your post or one of your buddies.......You or he said Bush was sending troops to their death and it was costing to much in money......I said Hussein Obama sent 60,000 troops to Afghanistan......I want it only one way my left wing friend..........I want the president to listen to the generals in the field and do what they ask and not wait 3 months to do it........

I know of no conservatives on any thread who are complaining about Obama sending troops.......

Suppose you post a link to that or are you just making it up?

It's also a bit unrealistic and I think mathematically impossible for Republicans to take enough seats in the fall elections to gain a 2/3's majority in the congress.

Just before the House of Representatives passed sweeping health care legislation last Sunday, 41% of voters nationwide favored the legislation while 54% were opposed. Now that President Obama has signed the legislation into law, most voters want to see it repealed.



The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.

In terms of Election 2010, 52% say they’d vote for a candidate who favors repeal over one who does not. Forty-one percent (41%) would cast their vote for someone who opposes repeal.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly favor repeal while most Democrats are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.

Most senior citizens (59%) also favor repeal. Earlier, voters over 65 had been more opposed to the health care plan than younger adults. Seniors use the health care system more than anyone else

Yes, we all know the GOP and the big companies that bought them off are unhappy about the healthcare bill. It means they cannot rape the public any longer. I know this annoys various forms of big business scum.

It's high time business got a taste of its own medicine.

I wonder why the left hates big business so much.......Hell most of the CEOs are democrats and liberals like Bill Gates.....Why would you hate your own kind?

You would think they would want big business to be successful because they are the people that do the hiring....When Obama sticks big tax programs on them they are forced to lay off people........I wonder if any of these lefties were hired by someone who is poor.........

This is actually an interesting question. Some say it's because new taxes on small businesses will stall growth, in turn keeping the "big dawgs" in the corporate world at the top.

Edit to add: Remember, it's usually always about power and money.

Conjecture much? You have no information that could possibly sustain your statement that lives could have been saved by surging earlier. Same location, same enemy, same results either way.
 
He probably saved more troops by providing the Taleban a less target-rich environment.

None of McCrystals original plans called for sending in more troops before April. Where was your wishing when General Kiernan was calling for more troops for years and Bush ignored him
