BREAKING -- Reconciliation bill will have to go back to the House

Oh yes lets use a heavily partisan news outlet to support a partisan argument

The real question is how many more silly games will the party of NO play?

Well before that can be answered, I guess we need to know who this mythical "Party of No" is and how they influence the republicans and democrats in congress now.

You think it's clever to use wounded veterans as a political ploy?

sure do

clever, normal and fair

it's called p-o-l-i-t-i-c-s

What would you be saying if the Democrats did something like that?

i'd say we need to clean up our act so opponents can't say such things about us

because the things our opponents would be saying, in this case, would be true

I'm guessing you'd be disgusted by it.

guessing is for girls

The Republicans will do anything to get back in power.

of course we will

we're normal

Both you and the republicans disgust me.

of course i do, i'm effective

obama doesn't disgust me, i'm too old to FEEL petty little girl emotions like that, i've seen everything too many thousands of times

maturity brings acceptance

you don't even register with me, i don't even know your name at this point, and i don't care enough to scroll up to find out

you fail to stand out from thousands of others

take care

The party of No is not mythical. It is what is left of what used to be a vibrant Republican party, now that the right-wing wackos control the party.

Ooooh...so basically this is nothing more than a hyperpartisan buzzword, totally bereft of merit or substance that you are bandying about without so much as a care for intellectual honesty.

Understood. And totally expected of you.

I imagine back in 2006 when the democrats were attempting to block every agenda item of the republicans, you were calling them the Party of No, also? When Reid was crying defeat in Iraq and the democrats were opposing the surge, I imagine you were calling them the Party of No, too?

No? Really? Whodathunkit?

cbs poll yesterday: 62% want the gop to keep fighting this bill

No... they were called a party of traitors, and with good reason.

The Democrats were never attempting to block every agenda item of the Republicans...but when they did engage in silly stall tactics, I found their behavior every bit as childish and stupid as the Republicans here.
Did every Democrat cry defeat in Iraq? Did every Democrat oppose the surge? No.
It is the mentality of the Republicans in opposing things that they supported previously simply to be obstructionist that gives them their designation as the Party of No.

Why do you think so many Democrats want them to keep fight it?

Easy....they are looking like fools and obstructionists. The GOP is not appearing very professional in its stomp your feet and take away your checkers behavior and it is playing right into the Democrats hands.

So since you shrilly caterwaul some hyperpartisan buzzword, it's now their "designation"? Oooooookay.

Every Republican opposed this health care reform because it was a turd. They were doing what their constituents wanted them to do because, unlike democrats, republicans still understand they work for the people.

How many new bribes will it take to be passed?

Ah, they serve their masters well, don't they? Getting right out there with the b.s. talking points to derail a thread...

Well, done far-right drone... I will notify your sith lord that they should promote you to Head of spin distribution.

That would be "The Answer of 'No'"

The People? There are polls that show the majority of the people supported this as there are those that said they don't.
Even those showing they don't, when you take away the people who wanted something even MORE LIBERAL.....it takes away from the spin that the Republicans want to put on this.

Republicans work for themselves. It is the Democrats that are doing the work of the people.

Pfft. They couldn't even make their people happy because, by your logic, they did a half ass job with what they did manage to do.

No, I think most Republicans are pretty happy with our guys right now for standing in opposition to this gross violation of federal authority. We'll definitely find out in November this year. ;)
