House Votes To Exempt TRICARE From Health Reform Bill

Yea but you chose to join, you accepted that pay.
No one twisted your arm and made you.

If you were drafted, that's a different story

You damn right I did and I served so people like you can feel free to knock the very guys that are protecting your ass

I have 4 kids and saw ones birth.......missed numerous holidays and birthdays so you could stay home and celebrate them with your family......

People like you who have no respect for what the military does make me sick.....

Some of us joined because we love our country and considered it a privilege to serve it......

Hats off to you for that sir. That is admirable. :applaud I have many times myself considered going back home to join the South African army. But a young white guy would be mince meat these days... not to mention the pay is virtually worthless.

But I mean, I don't think EVERYONE on the left is against the military. And from my experience not everyone who joins the armed forces of a country is patriotic.

There is a balance somewhere Navy. Most people are reasonable.

So does too much Jack Daniel's my friend. Bobbin' for garbage, on the equator, trying to get my Shellback, makes me sick. The things we have to do in the Navy. I tell ya! :rofl

Hey, all career government workers get a pretty good deal. Far batter than your average Joe. Civil service workers. Post office workers. County employees. I think, of them all, the military lifer, all things considered, get's the shorter end of the stick than the others.

Too bad we all can't work for the government and get those good bennies. If we did, that would make us a somewhat a socialist nation would it not?

I understand your frustration. It is valid. However, don't begrudge our career vets anything they are afforded. They deserve it. They are the last one's we should be bitching about.

I'm not begrudging them.

I don't think it's fair that the rest of us, who have other things going in life that prevent us from joining, to suffer the shorter end of the stick.

I can't help my body was not able to function to the standards the military wanted, I was born that way.

Yes you're right though, the bureaucrats get far to generous benefits.

Not quite.......Tricare is 20% of our coverage....if they can't see us in the Naval Hospital they farm us out to Medicare which is taking a 500 billion dollar cut thank to Obama Social Care...........

Last year I was farmed out twice......The doctors are droping medicare and medicad like flies.........

Haven't you been complaining about Medicare being socialism for the last 5 years? Isn't this a good thing for your side?

I made 817.00 a month plus VHA and BEQ. That was before my child support deductions. I bought myself that floating inner-tube I always wanted and a can of Planter's peanuts..

But what I DID get in the Navy, money couldn't buy.

I am and old broke down chief and I love the Navy and miss it even the 6 ships I served on.........There is nothing like when they knock off ships work and your underway to go back on the fantail at 1600 with a cup of coffee and tell sea stories........

I think 15% on the most leftern (new word) end are whackos. I think the most 15% on the extreme right end is whacko too.

It's fun when they both cross at the same intersection. :rofl

Got nothing to do with medicare my friend.........

You shoulda seen what we were doing at the fantail. You wouldn't have approved Chief. :rofl When we would see a Zero walking up, you could just see dozens of glowing coals going into the sea.

God I miss the fleet. :(

Thailand too.

But why are you complaining about the program taking a 500 billion hit? Isn't that a good thing? Think about it Navy, a huge socialist program taking a 500 billion hit? That has to count for something.

Because that is in Obama care.........

IMO Navy was right to be concerned.
Just last year Obama suggested that Military personnel should buy their own Medical Insurance so that the cost of treating any injuries incurred during fighting would be covered by this Insurance and not by the US government.
Fortunately someone put the idiot back on a relatively sane path.

When it comes to this president we have to stay on our guard......I would put nothing past him..
