Re: FBI investigating severed gas line at Rep. Tom Perriello's brother home

If 1000 citizens are very, very angry about something, out of those maybe 1 will be very mentally unbalanced. Out of 1000 mentally unbalanced citizens angry about something, maybe one will do something crazy.

A lot of people are angry and frustrated with the actions of the President and Democratic Congress. This is a reality. Out of those, there will be a lunatic fringe, there always is.

While most of the time what I bolded is admirable, and these incidences as well do not qualify at this time; sometimes violence is necessary. This country was founded on violence because words stopped working, the IRS if we really look at it is more onerous than the king's tax collectors, they have more power, and we have more taxes.

The King's tax collectors were tarred and feathered, IRS agents can stop you to ask you questions anytime without a warrant, yet we let them live(No one should see this point as anything other than a comparison). As well, if someone has desires on endangering your life or even taking it with physical violence, then words will not stop them from their ultimate desired action, so to not engage in violence will cost you your life(your choice of course, if you value your morality more than your life, by all means be my guest). My overall point, sometimes violence is in fact warranted, never desired, and not appropriate yet.

Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

So, dumb**** teabagger... um, sorry, Tea Party Activist posts the home address of a congressman on his blog (he thinks).... But it's the wrong address. It's that of Perriello's brother.

Then this criminal 'mastermind' scumbag, Tea Party member Mike Troxel, encourages people to drop by for a “good face-to-face chat”.

    Nice.

Time to tone it down people.
Yeah, it's just the right fringe that does **** like this.
A Republican aide also pointed out that over the years Republican members of Congress received their fair share of death threats during volatile times. Newt Gingrich after the 1994 Republican revolution and the late Henry Hyde during the Clinton impeachment in 1998 both received numerous death threats. And just last month, Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) received death threats after his filibuster of unemployment benefits, according to a report in Roll Call.

Your partisan hackery is really wearing thin. Why don't you go see what Media Matters wants you to be outraged about today. If you were at all honest, you'd be asking why these other incidents didn't receive the same amount of publicity as the current incidents by whackos, about which you seem so upset.

Your attempt to change the subject is weak and pathetic as always...

Why don't you deal with the issue and instead of saying (like a little child): "Well, they did it first."

Well, little boy, two wrongs don't make a right.

That argument makes no sense and is in complete denial of reality.

The Health Care bill is an unprecedented piece of legislation...

The threats and growing violence towards members of congress is unprecedented...(in modern times)

    Look that word up: Unprecedented.

Ah, so it's okay to you when the nuts making death threats are on the left, but it's outrageous when it's against the party you support. Your hypocrisy is noted.

And the only thing that's "unprecedented" about what's going on is the Democrat's use of these incidents to demonize their political enemies. Good thing they have loyal lapdogs like you to help get the narrative out there.

That's not true. Sometimes things like revolution are warranted.

I disagree... a little fear of "the people" can go a long way in curing the hyper-partisan trash that infect our country. Not sure the current level of heat on the stove is doing the trick. Probably need to turn it up a few more notches before toning it down so the message is sure to be sent, and properly received.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Wait, didn't Obama call for his supporters to get in the face of those opposed to him?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Hopefully they will get the message before it calls for a million man armed march on Washington...... but I wouldn't count on it.
