At least as relates to the banks, it's the government receiving the bonuses.

    super

any other fantasies of yours you'd care to share?

the republicans are the party of loyal, principled opposition

when we see the president try to reform one sixth of our society by massively expanding medicare and medicaid, which we've all come to depend on, which are commonly known to be broke, with millions and millions of new enrollees while simultaneously cutting its funding half a tril...

when we see him declare that he can pay for two thirds of all this fata morgana by recovering monies lost thru waste, fraud and abuse...

when we see him replace the public option with a mandate on individuals---in the middle of a depression---to go out and buy a private product that can cost as much as some (subprimed) mortgage payments...

when we see him criminalize those who won't or can't conform...

when we see him attempt to impose drastic taxes on ENERGY, both production and consumption---in the middle of a depression...

when we see him ESCALATE the war in afghanistan just because he made it the centerpiece of his campaign's foreign policy, when the enemy we seek, al qaeda, are really in pakistan...

when we see him trying to reach out to holocaust denying haters in iran while they openly spit in his face...

when we see him played like a kabuki puppet by that master choreographer in china...

when we see him bail out every bogus bungler and badguy, every bagman, bankrupt and bum, with billions and billions of bankroll and obscene bonuses...

when we see him socialize the losses of the megacorps while privatizing their gains...

while doing squat for the little guy...

when we see him spend trillions of dollars that don't exist, hundreds of billions in squandered stimulus which he can't account for, which he can't explain to the american people and taxpayers...

when we see unemployment top ten percent and, the week after health care's passed, instead of exhibiting leadership on the only issue that matters most to mom and dad, the economy, he's instead out there STILL TRYING TO SELL his irrational raison d'etre, his own white whale, his health care, health care, health care...

when we see him promise to cut the deficit in half then propose a 2011 budget that borrows more than 10% of gdp...

when we see him mirandize a mutallab and attempt to try ksm before the likes of lance ito in downtown manhattan...

when we watch him, for crass and extremist political purposes, attempt to prosecute the career agents of the cia who flipped ksm and abu zubaydah...

    etc

then, yes, when we see our president take actions so inimical to the interests of the american people and so contrary to their concerns, indeed, we must decisively, affirmatively and unambiguously sign on the dotted line of opposition

we simply can't in good principle condone such wrong minded policies

when america has had enough and is ready for a change, we are ready to assume leadership

    it's pretty simple

    why whine?

    why fantasize?

lead, president obama, it's up to you to make opposition irrelevant

and don't forget, sir---fix this economy or you're done

    pronto

you're already at least 6 months late

    tick tock...

I assume you have no issue with liberals using whatever legislative loopholes THEY need to get their agenda through if the opposition is acting like this.

Give me one Republican tried to negotiate with the Democrats on the Health Care Bill in good faith. One.

That's good for an election, but when it actually comes to pushing legislation on the people with tyrranical zeal, no, there are rules to work within.

You just aren't very good at this.

I assume you will have no problem after November when the Republicans use every legislative loophole to defund this POS... Right?

BTW….. Reconciliation will actually apply to de-funding this, imagine that!
