Note, however, how stable the numbers are. The fluctuations are very slight.
    thank you

but we might want to stop and consider whether all these people are really conservatives

i mean, just because they say they are

after all, who are they to judge?

you really think he's gonna get these people to follow him over another cliff

after all he's put them thru

you've forgotten the town halls, these poor partisans got ripped apart in public

the unmistakable meanings of virginia and massachusetts and new jersey

the retirements of bayh and conrad

the poll numbers so abysmal in the house, senate, gubs, assemblies...

things like---mr corbett leads all dems IN PENNSYVLANIA (!!!) by---are you sitting---margins like TWENTY PLUS points

    that's revolutionary, folks

    not spin

    do you KNOW pennsylvania?

how can you be so silly not to see things as HUGE as republicans leading in races for HARRISBURG and LANSING by TWENTY PLUS POINTS

you really think he's gonna get these folks (in the SENATE---LOL!) to go along with CAP AND TRADE?!

that's ridiculous, you absolutely do not know these people

you really need to LISTEN more, ARGUE less

cuz you're missing so much of the BIG STUFF

what, MOVING KSM TO MANHATTAN AGAIN?

they're gonna follow him on that?

what, something in the area of education?

if it's left of mike ross---forget about it

if it's left of john mccain---forget about it

    that's across the board, sorry

    WHAT'S HIS FOREIGN POLICY?

WHAT'S HIS POLICY PERTAINING TO IRAN?

can you answer a direct question?

    it's ok, HE CAN'T

he has NO foreign policy beyond his ESCALATION in afghanistan

climate accords, sanctions, trade with china, no nukes...

    what happened to the REACHOUT

his positions concerning TERRORISM are more convoluted than a pretzel

    a pusillanimous pretzel

he's gonna try these here and those there, until he changes his mind, he's gonna whisk off em off to miranda land but they're sure to be executed, don't you worry about that...

i'm so sorry to tell you, but he has SHOT HIS WAD

he's got his LEGACY, it better WORK, cuz he's gonna have to LIVE with it

    and NOTHING ELSE

HE WILL NEVER GET HIS PARTY TO FOLLOW HIM ON ANYTHING OF REAL SIGNIFICANCE UNLESS IT IS SOMETHING JOHN MCCAIN COULD SUPPORT

that's the lay of the land, folks

and i think YOU TOO have forgotten about THE ECONOMY

    HE SURE HAS

fix this economy, president obama, immediately

we, with the american people overwhelmingly and intensely behind us, will overturn your health care when you're gone

And what about the rules of Congress? Shouldn't a member of Congress who outright refuses to engage in the business of Congress be kicked to the curb?

I am reminded when John McCain decided to quit his campaign to run to Washington and fix the economy, because "the fundamentals of America’s economy are strong." Quitting seems to be a theme with Mr. McCain and his Republican colleagues.

So how did that whole Hastert health care reform bill work out?

He spoke of working with Democrats wanting health care reform but here is his actual record
    http://www.ontheissues.org/IL/Denny_Hastert.htm

    * Voted YES on denying non-emergency treatment for lack of Medicare co-pay. (Feb 2006)
    * Voted YES on limited prescription drug benefit for Medicare recipients. (Nov 2003)
    * Voted NO on allowing reimportation of prescription drugs. (Jul 2003)
    * Voted YES on small business associations for buying health insurance. (Jun 2003)
    * Voted YES on allowing suing HMOs, but under federal rules & limited award. (Aug 2001)
    * Voted YES on subsidizing private insurance for Medicare Rx drug coverage. (Jun 2000)
    * Voted YES on establishing tax-exempt Medical Savings Accounts. (Oct 1999)
    * Rated 0% by APHA, indicating a anti-public health voting record.

He voted on health related issues he supports.
Just because he didn't vote the way you want, doesn't mean he didn't want to work with them.

How does that quantify as being anti public on health related issues?

Let's see, the Democrats still have majorities in both houses of Congress and the presidency. They don't need the Republican members for anything at all. The only reason this would be a problem for the Democrats is if they aren't able to enforce party discipline, which isn't a GOP problem in the slightest.

As to McCain himself -- he's a politician through and through. If he thought this would hurt his chances in Arizona there's no way he'd say this.

Exactly. Who expected anything out of them anyways? I think they just as well take a vacation. We're better off without 'em anyways.

    Who cares? Who need's 'em?

I'd say he was doing his job by doing everything he could to prevent the health care bill from being passed. He was standing up for the multitudes of people who didn't want the bill to pass many of whom played a role in electing him.

Just like when McCain interrupted his campaigning to go to Washington DC to support Bush for the first stimulus bailout. He was standing up for the multitudes of working people who wanted to fill the pockets of Wall Street.

Bingo - Give this poster a cigar. He nailed it. Of course, when McCain supported the first stimulus bailout, the president had an R after his name.
