As a senator he is called upon to represent his constituents, not his party. So far he seems like a fair, independent guy. Instead of voting no on everything and calling people socialists, he is actually working with the other party to shape ideas, and heal our country.

This is reminiscent to the Republican party I USED to belong to. Before Newt. Before Bush. Back when it represented the people. A few more like Brown and I might have to consider making my way back. The democrats aren't showing me much of nothing.

Is he actually representing his consituents? Surely the folks that elected him weren't shooting for a Liberal, since he's a Republican-n-all. If they really wanted Liberal politics as usual, then why vote for a Republican? What's-her-butt would have filled that bill nicely.

Time will tell, but this could very well be Brown's only term.

Okay let's wait till the vote on the bill occurs.

I don't think his constituents were shooting for a liberal or a conservative. During his campaign he said he would be an independent voice. Not a liberal or conservative voice, but an independent voice. I was very skeptical of how a Massachusetts Republican would vote. I was thinking he would be one of those kind of folk who walk around calling Obama a "Kenyan born communist" and would be out to destroy his administration for partisan game, but so far he seems to be showing signs of working to heal our country instead of destroying it. Time will tell though. I do figure he will oppose some of Obama's health care plan... But I believe he will be more open minded about it than just saying no and pretending our health care is 100% perfect as is.

Again, time will tell but I'm consistently keeping his an eye on him at govtrack.us

Massachusetts could have voted for something other than the status quo. They didn't, so why anyone thinks something different would happen is a mystery.
