When it comes to national security, do you think President Obama is doing better, worse, or about the same as President George W. Bush?
Total better: 39
Total worse: 31
And:
When it comes to combating terrorism and handling terrorism suspects, do you think President Obama is doing better, worse, or about the same as President George W. Bush?
Total better: 38
Total worse: 31

Of course, the article is from a Liberal web site, and they are going to paint what they see with their own rose colored glasses, but what does this poll actually tell us?

1) That, even with a poll conducted by Democrats, their own party does not even break 40%. That is pathetic.

2) Obama is doing the same things that Bush was doing. There was a lot of outrage back then, but where is it now? Could it be that the difference is that there is a D instead of an R in the White House now? That's how it looks to me.

3) The majority still see both the Democrats and Republicans undermining freedoms here in the US with their heavy handed methods against their own citizens. There is still spying on US citizens, and the Patriot Act is still going as strong as ever.

What is the difference between a Bushnevik and an Obammunist? Very little. The only thing that each would have to say about George Orwell's 1984 is that it is better late than never to live with it in the 21st Century. The only difference is who they believe should head America's new aristocracy.

As for myself? Screw Bush and Screw Obama both. And, of course, screw the Democrats and Republicans. As for our forefathers, the Constitution, and everything else "American", they just don't get it, and they never will. We need a new party.

Article is here.

Never fear, the Whigs are here!

The same Liberals think Obama is brilliant and the economy is better because of Obama, Cash for Clunkers was great, and they are so delusional they also think Cap and Trade will fix a problem that isn't there.

Your poll certainly does not show that Obama is doing the same thing as Bush, only that what Obama is doing is somewhat more popular. The reality is, Obama is not doing the same thing as Bush, he has shifted the focus from Iraq to Afghanistan, which is where us D's think it should have been. The outrage was over the choice to invade Iraq, and the strategies employed afterwords.

no, i don't. cash for clunkers was flawed, obama IS smart and our economy IS improving, and i'm not really worried about cap and trade at this point in time.

What makes you think anything done by the Washington Post, these days, has a liberal slant?

What the difference between pothead libertarians and communists? Nothing, neither gets elected.

Another Bush bashing thread, surprise!

It's funny because it's true.

I think OP is analyzing this incorrectly.

The reason not too many people think Obama is "better" on security is that he's doing things almost exactly the same as Bush did.

edit: And yes, I'm pretty pissed about that.

Looks like you didn't even click my link and read it. My wife showed it to me. It comes from a Liberal blog called the Plum Line.

Reading is fundamental.

So Obama only beat Bush by 8 points among liberals?

LOL

You do realize that Cash for Clunkers is little more then a spin on the corporate bonus depreciation that got us out of the 2002 recession no?

Or are you just talking out your rear?

Furthermore, the weather is getting weirder across the planet. You seem to be laboring under the delusion that Global Warming only makes things hot.
