Woman twitters her abortion

Jackson, a mother of a four-year-old son with special needs, decided to terminate the pregnancy.

"I had made a decision when my son was born to try to not get pregnant again, and if that failed I'd planned that I would get an abortion if I needed one," Jackson told ABCNews.com.

She planned in advance to get an abortion. I find that morally repugnant, particularly when there are other options.

Yea, twitttering an abortion is soooooo responsible. You are soooo right. yahhhh.
You know, the only responsible thing to do with an unplanned pregnancy is to abort it. I mean, it would be totally irresponsible to have unprotected sex and let the innocent offspring live.

And don't forget to twitterz it! :)

I liked the part where she stated that she "didn't want to stir up a culture war," but her username was "antitheistangie."

Yeah, sure. I frequent the religious section here on a regular basis to mess with the faithful and her username is designed to attract a specific response.

Like I said initially: ATTENTION WHORE.

Did you see her picture? Damn, those are some big ass moles.

Okay so what do people think of this? Support it? Think she's nuts?

When I saw the headline, I was appalled. I thought, "People are twittering abortions?" One of the reasons she said she did it was to demystify the process. You know, that reason, I understand, and I kind of support what she did. I could see that being something that would help a woman decide whether she could take that pill.

I think she's probably an attention whore. Also, I hate twitter, people seem to think that they're so important that others should be paying attention to what they're doing every minute of the day. STFU and get back to work, no one cares!

"Hey everybody, look at me! I'm exercising my right of privacy! Come watch!"

ZOMG! I can feel the blastula leaving my body right now!!!111!!! Here I am, exercising my constitutional rights to kill my offspring!!!! LOOK AT ME!!!!

ZOMG! Why are you religious freaks threatening me!!!???!!!! You people are CRAZY!!!

It wasn't unprotected sex. Didn't you read what she said?

Abortion was her "Plan B" when she knew that her chosen method wasn't 100% effective. Spin that.

There isn't anything to spin. She doesn't see abortion as morally wrong, obviously.

It wasn't a plan.

It was a decision after her responsible plan failed.

Do you think that if you keep repeating responsible, that will make it more likely to become magically true?

Maybe, click your heels together the next time and wish you were home.

And other people do, obviously. Including me. :2wave:

Which little anti-theist-angie knew, before she ever pressed send.

So now, we're giving her EXACTLY what she wanted...our attention and her 15 minutes of fame for flushing her offspring.

Awesome.

Just because you don't like what she did doesn't mean she didn't act responsibly. The two can be true at the same time.

Guess what? Calling her actions responsible or irresponsible is a matter of subjective opinion. It is my opinion that she acted irresponsibly, and that her twittering was designed to drama whore things up. You know what's cool about opinions? We each get one.

It sure seems to be fashionable of late, doesn't it?

p.s. Don't leave again, Coronaughty. I missed you so!

it's dumb to think some things are morally repugnant? As opposed to think that nothing is morally repugnant? whatever happened to having class?

I'm here, but I can't guarantee I will be when March Madness gets started.

Perhaps I should twitter all through it ...

i don't have any issues with the woman's choice. wouldn't you ask your doctor for advice instead of relying on anecdotal advice?

i just can't shake the feeling that airing this in public, on twitter, no less, is a vile thing to do. maybe i'm wrong, but it's not something i could do.

You're making it seem that she should only get her info from one source. Hearing about someone's personal experience gives a different perspective than a doctor who likely hasn't undergone the process.
