I think that's how the majority of women feel.

i don't have any issues with the woman's choice. wouldn't you ask your doctor for advice instead of relying on anecdotal advice?

i just can't shake the feeling that airing this in public, on twitter, no less, is a vile thing to do. maybe i'm wrong, but it's not something i could do.

It's a celebration of death. I find it morally repugnant.

ultimately, it only helps the anti-abortion side, which should be the majority of this country, if demographics keep up.

    The demographics aren't changing...

    Abortion

And like I said...while I find the practice morally repugnant, I also believe it should be legal. I don't believe that the sort of women who would kill their offspring should be having children.

Poll Shows Youngest Americans More Pro-Life on Abortion Than Baby Boomers

But the Marist Institute is all gung-ho for the pro-life side.

Birth control, when used properly, is effective 99% of the time. Tubal ligation is even more effective than 99%. I would contend that the majority of abortions are not performed on women who are responsibly using birth control.
SOME birth control is that effective. Some women cannot use hormonal birth control, and tubal ligation is for women who are certain their families are complete. We can never know how "responsibly" a woman is using birth control, but the statistics are that about half of all women seeking abortions were using it. A 1% or 2% failure rate results in a LOT of unplanned pregnancies.

Young Women Unfamiliar With Safety, Effectiveness Of IUD

Pregnancy rates for women using IUDs are 0.1% in the first year and are 2 percent over a total of 10 years

I consider all of her actions, at this point, to be irresponsible. That's my opinion.

    .

Why are all of your examples about IUDs? If she knows she doesn't want another child, it seems like not protecting herself is an irresponsible act.
