And Ben Smith over at Politico notes that the attendees of the conference don't really sync up with the rest of the country.

Wonder if Romney run how many people on this forum currently talking about how few people participated in the poll, or how out of touch with mainstream america or the GOP, would be completely silent or making comments of Romney's potential win in 2012?

CPAC got it right, even tho faux news hates the outcome

Dr. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who has a chance of displacing Obama in 2012

they both have a very strong appeal to the younger voters

as is typically true of the democrats, the republican party leaders will not allow the best candidate to run

If you will note just below my user name, it says small "c" conservative, as in one interested in conservation of our resources. Not the large "C" Conservatives that co-opted the name, much like big housing developments co-opt the name of the major feature they destroy to make the development, like "Oak Forest," or "Apple Tree Village."

I voted for him in the Primaries, I like a large portion of his philosophy, but Ron Paul would have absolutely no chance at displacing Obama in 2012. There are far, far to many flaws and issues with him that make him incredibly impractical in any kind of national scale. This is not an indictment on his views, though its part, nor the Republicans, but more one of the general political process and the American voting public at large.

He is no Conservative ..........It seems there are tons of liberals in DP that call themselves moderates, independents, and Conservatives but their posts betray them for what they really are.........
